5 - Locked.

"You said we will get revenge on her! Aren't you going to do it!"

Alex's POV

I'm very scared of her.

I have to act brave and strong in front of my little sis but inside I have zero strength.

None. Nada. Zilch.

I also have nothing.

No parents. No money. No time. But a huge responsibility. I need to be there for Ji Soo. She has to deal with my stupidity.

I didn't know that when my dad said he's going to work that morning, he would be dead by the time I had lunch.

He never told me that he kept his identity hidden to save his life. He never told me that he was on the Princess's death list. I didn't know any of this and I was forced to be the one to tell Ji Soo and I am horrific at lying.

As much as I hate The Princess for killing my parents, I hate my parents too. They're the reason our lives are at stake and we have to deal with it ourselves.

Who knows whether we'll live or not? If the Princess kills us or we become homeless and starve to death because I can't earn enough money for us both. Either way, we lose.

I have to try to not let that happen.

I can't kill the princess. I can't attack her. I can't politely ask her to stop killing people. 

I can't get revenge. I can't. It's impossible.

I will get killed if I even think something bad about The Princess. 

What's so special about her anyways. Yeah, I know she has royalty in her blood, of course. But she doesn't act like a princess. She kills her subjects, for goodness sake! 

She must have a weakness. But how am I supposed to figure out what it is...

Normal POV

The man ran to the door step and wiped the sweat on his forehead before placing three knocks. He heard steady footsteps creeping towards the living room window and ran behind the bush to hide. With two clicks the door opened. 

Ji Soo looked around before stepping out of the house to see who had knocked.

"Hello? Is anyone there?"

He quickly took the opportunity to creep behind her, into the house and locked the door. Ji Soo looked back immediately and reached for the handle. 'Someone's holding the other side', she thought.

She checked her pockets for her phone or her keys. Or anything that could help in any way. She looked back at the house in fear. She had nothing on her. Her neighbours weren't home and no one was on the streets. She was locked out of her own house by a stranger.

"I KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE! JUST SO YOU KNOW, I AM ARMED.. WITH A GUN! AND I'M NOT AFRAID TO SHOOT! SO IF YOU DON'T WISH TO DIE, PLEASE LEAVE."

She caught a glimpse of a person looking at her through the curtain and he quickly moved away as soon as he knew that he had been spotted.

She shivered in the cold wind. She turned to look at towards the street where Alex was supposed to come from and was too distracted to notice the two clicks coming from behind her.

The figure quietly walked behind her and pulled her into a headlock.

"YOU LITTLE IDIOT WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU? HAHA!! YOU HAVE A GUN? I DON'T SEE IT, DID YOU PLAN ON SHOOTING ME WITH YOUR FINGERS??"

She glared at her older brother.

"Why would you do that?? I was soo scared!" She shouted.

"The fact that I can is bad. If I can, anyone can. You need to be more careful Ji Soo. What if the princess sent someone to attack you BECAUSE KNOWING HER, SHE'S PROBABLY GOING T-"

"Lower your voice, you'll get into trouble if anyone hears you," She muttered under her breath. "We need to keep a low profile if we want to stay safe."

Alex looked at her and smiled.

"Since when did you become a smarty? Ew no don't. Let me feel like the older brother please."

They laughed together and walked into the house.

Little did they know, they were being watched.

Rosé POV

I hate that I have to do all the thinking on my own. No one else in the palace uses their common sense as well as I do. They don't realise that no one will willingly listen to me. Yes, I'm young. Yes, I'm a woman. Yes, I'm an orphan. So? I don't understand why that means I won't have loyal subjects. They all deserve to die.

I looked down at my blood covered sword. Those traitors. They pretended to be our family friends. Then killed my parents. I still don't understand what my parents ever did to them. We treated them like family.

They deserve to die the most.

I've killed the parents and now it's time to get the kids. Alex and Ji Soo. Ah I remember them. I used to hold Ji Soo when she was a baby. Who would have known she was raised by murderers?

I didn't.

It really is a shame. I'll make sure she gets captured first. Then her "nice and caring" older brother come and die with her. But I don't plan on killing them straight away.

It will be nice to torture them a little...
