Damian was tired and that was a huge understatement. He was exhausted. He and the other Titans had been staking out all night and there was still no action. He even thinks that Jai fell asleep on them! And to make matters worse he was partnered with the most energetic talkative person on the planet, Irey West.
"Dami! Dammmiiii!! Why are you ignoring me?! Are you mad that there's been no trouble or is it because I'm talking too much?" Damian rubbed the bridge of his nose as he tried not to get angry, which was VERY hard. "Iris, please. For five minutes, just five minutes, please, PLEASE don't talk!" Irey looked at him in shock, then she looked hurt. Damian closed his eyes and was happy as there was no sound. He might have been able to sleep, that's if he wasn't on a mission, that and his head and body ached. But the silence was nice.. while it lasted.
"You know, I really don't think I talk that much. I mean, I think I talk as much as the average person wou-" Irey was cut off. Maybe it was because Damian was loosing his mind from lack of sleep or maybe he'd been craving Irey's lips on his for a long time. He really didn't know. But somehow, his lips were on hers. She let out a gasp and her eyes were wide, as well as her face turned red. But after a while she calmed down. Her green eyes closed and she kissed back. It was both of their first kiss. And although it was a method to get Irey to shut up, it was perfect.
When they finally pulled away they were rasping for air. "W-wha?.." Was all Irey could mutter. Damian smirked. For the rest of the stake out it was in blissful silence. Damian had won . He kissed the girl of his dreams and stopped her from giving him a major headache. The only problem was explaining to Wally West why his daughter was floating with hearts in her eyes..
