Narrator POV
Edd seemed upset. Actually, more than upset. Maybe less than upset? You weren't really sure. All you could tell is that he was anything BUT happy. The quote still rings in your head.
'' All that matters is that my experiment is complete ''
You make an attempt to slip out of the room, but Edd sees you and taps you by the shoulder. You quickly turn around trying to make a poker face. '' (YN), why don't you go home? I can probably sort everything out here. It's gonna be fine. '' Edd whispers to you. '' Fine? Things have been chaotic all night! Tom keeps transforming unwillingly, a mysterious criminal comes out of nowhere, and you think this is fine?! I'm helping you! We both have no idea what we're doing but maybe working together'll get this done. '' You state, trying to keep your voice down. You turn to where Tord was, but he's gone. Tom is on the ground, slowly reverting back. '' Oh god, that really WAS Tom? '' Edd remarks in disbelief. '' Yep. And I bet there's gonna be a lot more where that came from. '' Tom groans. '' At least you're well enough to talk. '' You chime. Tom groans again in response.
Maybe talking isn't the best thing he needs right now. After all, you did intend only on bringing him home. It would've simply been in and out if it wasn't for Tord. Speaking of him, you should expect to see him around. '' Edd, you're right. Maybe it would be best for me to go home. This is probably none of my business anyways. '' You reply. '' I'm quite tired anyways. '' You add. '' If you say so. '' Edd shrugs. You leave the room without a word. Stepping out of the house, you look next door.
'' I SWEAR IT WAS THE SAME GUY, MARK! '' Eduardo yells. Mark stares at you and mouths something. It seems like he's saying '' help me ''. Eduardo continues to yell, but you slowly back away and begin to run across the street to your house. There's only one problem. When you walk inside, the back door is open.
Someone has broken inside.
