Chapter 3: Birthday Planning

I woke up in the morning on Ricco's chest. I smiled to find him awake stroking my hair. "Good Morning sunshine," said Ricco. "Good Morning babe," I said. He smiled and it warmed my heart. I then got up to go freshen up. Ricco laid in bed going through his phone, when I got out he just went in and he freshened up. When he came out he saw me putting on makeup and he came and said "You don't need that baby". I gave him a quick kiss and then straightened my hair. He got dressed then sat downstairs in the kitchen and ate breakfast. I came down and poured myself orange juice and I sat down next to Ricco. 

"What's the plan today? I wanna spend it with you." said Ricco. "My Birthday is next week on Saturday, can we start planning?" I said. "Your gonna be 20!" said Ricco. I laughed he gave me a kiss. We then decided we would do a beach party, at Santa Monica beach and Ricco said that we could rent out a beach house where everyone could choose to stay the night. I thought that was perfect! I had checked the mail and sent out invitations with the location, and the theme being "Summer Breeze." I then took Ricco to go to Big Lots, and Ikea to get things for the party. I ordered all the food ahead of time, and it would arrive there at the party. When we got out of Ikea I realized Ricco had been on the phone for the past 20mins and he kept on going away from me as if he was hiding it. I asked him what happened and what he was hiding. He told me that he hired professional decorators to decorate the spot on the beach, set up activities, to get their team of waiters to serve and to decorate the beach house. I told him he didn't have to, and he said "I had to do at least that much for my baby." 

I can't believe he did that for me! I couldn't wait till next week! I was so excited about my outfit too! I got the best makeup artist out there to fly out to L.A. and give me a 20th birthday glam. I couldn't wait to see my best friend Emily again! I had been texting her but, I haven't seen her since I moved out to L.A. I miss her so much! I am super excited to see her! I can't imagine her reaction when she sees Ricco! 

We went and had lunch and then we came home to relax, and we sat down and watched a movie. Ricco called up some of his friends to tell them that his girlfriend was having a birthday party and that he would like them to come. They were all surprised at first because Ricco hadn't been in a relationship in over 4 years! They thought he was the "No glove, no love" type of guy. He said that they would have to wait and come to see me. When I asked him "Were they surprised?" he said "Yeah." When I asked "Are they coming?" he said "Of course! They really want to see which girl stole my heart." I gave him a quick kiss. 

The day went by just like that and Ricco had to go home, and I went upstairs changed, took my makeup off, and fell asleep to the soothing lavender scented candle and thinking of Ricco.
