6 months later.
Khalib
Today makes 8 months and three days since my baby had been in Eb's stomach, and he or she will be here in a few days. I was excited to say the most I never thought in all my twenty three years of living I would be ready to be a father.
I was laying on the bed watching "TheWood" while Ebony was taking a shower, we were going out to eat when she got out I wanted to treat her to something nice.
Her phone dinged indicating a message rolling over I grabbed her phone off the night stand.
iMessage
I couldn't read the message so I shrugged and threw the phone on the bed I wasn't pressed to read the message so I didn't care.
soon after the shower stopped and she got out her little body wobbled into the room.
"hurry up slow poke" she smacked her lips and threw her towel at me, she was still fine as hell pregnant and all.
"hush boy I'm carrying your heavy ass child so I have to move slow"
not finding a need to say anything back I averted my eyes back to the tv.
"somebody texted you"my eyes stayed on the movie as I spoke lowly.
"can you read it for me" she shouted from the closet.
Sighing I outreached my arm and grabbed her phone and unlocking it.
the person who texted her didn't have a name it was just an emoji (🙄.)
"they said-" my eyebrows furrowed in confusion as I read the text.
you need to hurry up and tell ya nigga...
"who was it? what did they say?"
She walked out of the closet pulling on her pants.
"yo who the fuck is this saying you need to hurry up and tell me something?"I stood up throwing the phone on the bed.
she snatched the phone off the bed and looked at the text.
"maybe they have the wrong number"
she was trying to play me like I'm stupid "that ain't no wrong fucking number I'm not fucking dumb!!"
"If you have something to say you need to tell me now because if you lie and I find out you lying it's gone be some problems"
"Khalib-" she got cut off because she busted into tears "I'm so sorry"
I took a deep breath to calm myself,"Ebony what the fuck did you do!!"
"I cheated and baby I regret it"
I felt like time stopped in place and everything around me was frozen I couldn't move but my heart heated ten times faster.
I cheated continued to go through my mind I was hurt not mad but hurt.
Walking past her I grabbed my keys and phone ignoring her calls.
I needed space or better yet a blunt.

Eboni
My eyes burned from crying so much and my head thumped in pain, I regretted everything I did and I feel bad for hurting Khalib.
It's been three days since anybody has last spoken to or saw him and it hurts knowing he could be out there dead or hurt and it would be my fault.
I heard someone knocking on the front door, rolling out of bed I slowly made my way there.
"shit" I winced as I felt a sharp pain in my lower stomach.
the knocking continued.
"comin- ouchhh" using the wall to help keep me up I walked the rest of the way to the door.
Khalib's mom stood on the other side with shades covering her eyes.
She gave me a weak smile as I motioned for her to enter "hey baby how ya doing"
Returning the weak smile I walked her over to the couch "not too good have you heard anything from Khalib?"
Shaking her head she slowly started to take off the glasses revealing her redden eyes.
"no I haven't and lord this boy is driving me insane I'm worried about my baby" she buried her face inside of her hands.
It was my fault she was worried.
"mama I'm sorry it's my fault"
"we all make mistakes"
That same aching pain came back to me causing me to yell loudly.
"oh shit Ebony are you okay"
"they-they awww" I gripped my lower stomach and took deep breaths trying to control the pain.
"I think I peed" I felt a wet substance on my hand.
"No baby your water broke come on let's get you to the hospital"

4 hours later
"okay Ms.Johnson it's time for you to push" the doctor instructed as he pushed Ebonys legs apart.
But she refused to push her baby out she couldn't let her baby enter this world without Khalib being present.
Scarlet walked out of the room to answering her phone hoping and praying it was her son.
"Hello"
"Scarlet Thomas we have some news about your son he-"
