Living with Viktor was quite a hassle, but it had its good things. For example, Viktor, surprisingly, knew how to cook well, and he was a neat freak - which meant he kept the apartment pretty clean. But one thing that did piss Yuuri off, was the fact that he tended to forget about almost everything. He could even forget his own name, Yuuri thought. It really wouldn't surprise him if he did.
So, with this small fact in mind, please understand Yuuri's pain at the moment, as he stared at his phone screen at two in the afternoon, as the blazing sun glared down at his bare back as he sat on the balcony. Today was the day of their one year anniversary. And even though Viktor had promised not to forget such a crucial detail and important day, he still did. Because that's just how good ol' Viktor works.
The poor Japanese male had been waiting almost an entire day, since the moment the two had woken up at five in the morning for training, for a simple, and gentle, subtle reminded that it's been at least a year since his boyfriend's Russian ass decided to move itself from one continent to another completely to live with him. Yuuri thought, and hoped, that he wouldn't forget something like that, but alas, he still did. Because, again, that's just how Viktor works.
With a sigh, Yuuri stood up, and walked back inside, where it was cool, since the heat of the sun was now annoying him. The noises of the chirping cicadas were starting to bother him, too, along with the sweat dripping down his bangs, making them stick onto his forehead. He ran a hand through his hair, pushing it back, and closed the sliding door behind him just as Viktor walked into the room. The latter raised his eyebrows at Yuuri, and pursed his lips. Yuuri rolled his eyes at him, and walked past him. "I'm gonna go bathe," he informed the older male, receiving an instant and almost eager reply from him. "Can I join you?" Yuuri only grunted in reply and walked down the hall to their shared bathroom. "Yuuri?"
"No." And with that Yuuri slammed the door shut, leaving Viktor to pout and complain alone.

Okay, maybe he was a little too 'harsh' on him. Maybe he just overreacted. But cut him some slack. Wouldn't you be mad if your boyfriend or girlfriend forgot a very important occasion for the both of you? Of course you would be! It's completely natural to be. And if it isn't for you, then just please try to understand Yuuri on this one.
Though, since he felt a bit guilty for snapping that way at Viktor, after he finished his shower and got dressed, Yuuri walked to their cozy living room, he saw Viktor sitting at the couch with his back turned to him. Yuuri wrapped his arms around Viktor's shoulders from behind, earning a "hmph!" from the older man. Yuuri rolled his eyes.
"I'm sorry for acting that way towards you earlier, I was just a bit annoyed and took it out on you. I'm sorry," he muttered and kissed the Russian's cheek. Viktor only crossed his arms over his chest and continued to ignore him. Petty, Yuuri thought, deciding to continue kissing Viktor. He kissed his cheek again, the corner of his lips, and then his neck. Viktor became tense, making Yuuri chuckle, and to add on to Viktor discomfort, he nibbled slightly on the pale skin. Viktor squealed slightly and pushed Yuuri away. "That's not fair!" he exclaimed, making Yuuri laugh. "Well, it got you to talk to me," he said, crossing his arms over his chest, smirking. Viktor huffed in annoyance and crossed his arms, as well. "Cheater," he muttered.
"How is that cheating?"
"Because you know I'm sens - oh, forget it! You cheated into getting me to talk to you."
"You are such a child sometimes."
"You love me."
"I do."
Yuuri smiled fondly at his boyfriend. He felt a sort of blissfulness at the moment, but then he remembered that Viktor fucking forgot that today was their one year anniversary. A sour look made its way onto Yuuri's face, making Viktor raise his eyebrow. "Is something wrong?" he asked. Yuuri sighed and shook his head. "No, it's nothing."
Oh, it's something alright. You dimwit.

Nighttime came around sooner than Yuuri had expected. To keep his mind off from the fact that he has an irritably forgetful boyfriend, he decided to stay in his and Viktor's room to finish a term paper that was due in a few days. To make his slightly foul mood worse, his laptop had crashed before he could save anything that he had written, and thus, the piece of metal junk had deleted everything he had managed to write up to now. Four full hours of intense researching gone down the drain in a matter of seconds. He almost hurled the laptop out the window, but he refrained from doing so, knowing that the cost of a new laptop would put a dent in his bank account.
He groans loudly and bangs the desk with his fist. He runs his hands through his hair, and groans loudly again, almost shouting. He hears the little bell of Makkachin's collar jingling, and knows that the large poodle is headed to where he is. He sees him enter the room with Viktor behind. "You okay?" he asks, concern lacing his voice. Yuuri shakes his hand, running his hands over his face. "No," he mutters weakly, trying to keep the frustration from getting to him. "I think you need a break," Viktor says, getting closer to him. Yuuri nods, and stands up. He takes the hand Viktor holds out for him and walks out of the room with him and Makkachin trailing along.
"How about...we go on a date tonight?" Viktor says, stopping at their living room, and turning to look at Yuuri with a small smile. Yuuri raises an eyebrow. "Like, let's go on a nice date at a nice place, and come back and have a nice rest of the night?" Viktor raises a suggestive eyebrow. "Sure, that sounds nice," Yuuri manages a small smile. "Right? I mean, it's our anniversary after all. We deserve it."
Yuuri's eyes went wide, and he looked up to see Viktor wearing a shit-eating grin. Yuuri could almost feel the tears swelling in his eyes. Wow, was he being dramatic today. Gosh. "You thought I forgot, didn't you?" Viktor chuckled, wrapping his arms around Yuuri's waist. "Jesus Christ, yes! I did!" Yuuri rubbed his eyes furiously, and bit his lip. "I thought you forgot, you asshole." He smacked his chest playfully, earning a small laugh from the taller male. "It was my intention all along. Sorry if it irked you."
"It sure as hell did, you dimwit."
"I'm your dimwit."
"Sadly."
