He pulled away,clearly flustered. "I have to go help Jamison with more of his projects..I hope to see you later." " Yeah..you too! "You exclaimed,a little to loud you thought. Road hog smiled once more and made his way down the hall. You felt your heart pounding in your chest thump thump thump. Your face felt hot and you made your way into the main room. Mercy was sitting there looking at a couple of papers. She had looked up at you and started smiling "[y/n]? What is with the blushing!" This only made you redder. You eat down and began talking to her. Mercy,other than lucio and zen,was one of the only people you deeply trusted in the base.
You and hog had become closer over the next few days. You had learned he loved studying biology,interesting and unexpected! He would every so often come into your room,asking how you were doing and keeping a long stable conversation. He only ever seemed worried about you. Never wanting to talk about himself. Weird..you thought,but let it slide. He always seemed so violent but,now that you've gotten to know him,he was like an entirely different person! In the mornings he would usually being you your breakfast,sweet!You thought every time he had brought your meal to you. He only ever smiled with you and junkrat around. Along with keeping his mask on around every one else. He trusted you. Whenever you had tried to convince him he was handsome he clearly disagreed but pretended to agree with you.
One day,Saturday to be exact,everyone had come back in from the battlefeild. Your arm was slightly damaged,a little twisted but other than that,okay. Roadhog and junkrat both covered in soot. Junkat was laughing like the mad man he was while roadhog sat there quietly. This was normal but Road hog seemed upset. You walked over to him and sat beside him. "You al'right big guy?" you asked quietly. Junket had stopped talking,and looked at his mate with a concerned look. "Eyah,what the [gal/guy] said!" Road hog looked up and coughed before wheezing quietly " I'm fine..thank you for asking.. " You and junkrat looked at eachother.
"My mate,is not okay." Junkrat whispered to you in your room. " Yeah..I can tell" you said with a worried tone. "He doesn't usually act like this,maybe we should ask mercy?" You thought for a moment before nodding. "Yeah sounds good.." Junkrat got up and before walking out of your room looked back and said "ay..uh..[y/n?]" You looked up and he was smiling. " you make mako happy..jus' thank ya. Thanks for being' there for my mate. " You smiled and got up to hug him "yeah,yeah,i got it you dork"
