The match was suddenly upon us and Harry was starting to resemble me in my ADHD ways.

Eventually Ron, Hermione and I went to wish him well before his match and he looked like he was about to keel over from anxiety of it all.

We found a place in the stands with Neville and I couldn't help feel happy that I was with such great people in such a great school watching an awesome sport like this.

Ron and Hermione were on the worried side, while Neville and I talked aimlessly. I turned and watched as Hermione and Ron started to flirt-argue.

"Now, don't forget, it's Locomotor Mortis," Hermione muttered as Ron stealthily hid his wand in his sleeve.

"I know," Ron snapped. "Don't nag."

After a few minutes, I noticed Snape, who had an angry look on his face.

"I've never seen Snape look so mean," he told Hermione. "Look-- they're off. Ouch!"

I swiveled to see that it was Malfoy that had poked Ron.

"Oh, sorry, Weasley, didn't see you there."

Malfoy grinned broadly at his goons, who didn't look me in the eyes.

"Wonder how long Potter's going to stay on his broom this time? Anyone want to bet? What about you, Weasley?"

"I bet much longer than you." I muttered under my breath, but only Ron heard and I saw a smile on his face.

"You know how I think they choose people for the Gryffindor team?"

"It's the people they feel sorry for. See there's Potter, who's got no parents, then there's the Weasley's, who've got no money--you should be on the team, Longbottom, you've got no brains." I was just about to kill Malfoy as he finished his stupid little rant, when Neville stood up for himself.

"I'm worth twelve of you, Malfoy," he stammered.

I beamed with pride for Neville. Even while Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle laughed and kept attempting to insult Neville, I ignored him. Suddenly Hermione gasped and exclaimed.

"Ron! Harry--!"

I watched as Harry took an amazing dive. It was great until Malfoy opened his trap.

"You're in luck, Weasley, Potter's obviously spotted some money on the ground!" Said Malfoy. Ron snapped quite obviously and I sure wasn't holding him back when he did.

Ron beat up Malfoy (with me joining him and Neville of course) and I barely witnessed glimpses of Harry winning.

The Gryffindor's cheers of victory and the polite clapping of Ravenclaws rang loudly through the stadium. The team got of their broomsticks and join in cheering. I saw the figure of Dumbledore as he went to congratulate Harry.

It was great until it suddenly turned to screaming and cries of terror. From the moment it broke through a part of the Quidditch stands, panic had infected everyone. Harry, Ron and Hermione had attempted to stay on the field, but after a lot of urging they had moved to a safer distance.

The other first-years and several others ran across the field, screaming. The older years stood slightly dumbstruck while the teachers ran up to it. I stood planted firmly on the field facing the beast, wand in one hand and my pen in the other.

"Why is there a lion on the field?" A unknown teacher shouted.

I looked back at the creature and I was perplexed by the strange mix of multiple animals that definitely did not look like a lion. Then it breathed fire. The teachers moved out of the way and I barely dodged it.

I realized a few things in a few seconds. Only a few seemed to see it for what it was and the animal was a Chimera. An angry, unholy, snake-mountain lion-goat, mix from Tartaras.

As I realize those two things, the Chimera pounces at a nearby student. My instincts kick in and I click my pen. I jump in front of the terrified second-year, Riptide fending off the monster.

The second-year ran and the Chimera backed away from the celestial-bronze sword. It's lion head snarles at me and it starts to circle me. Then it swipes and I move back barely missing it's ferocious claws.

One of the teachers, shoots a spell at the Chimera, but I can tell it has little effect on the Chimera. Another spell flies and it nearly hits me. As it passed by, I felt the heat from the spell.

"Stop shooting, it's obviously not working!" I shout at them, not daring to look away from the Chimera, who kept attempting to tear my guts out.

I suddenly had a great idea. An idea that could not be beat. I grabbed my wand from my pocket and put my plan into action.

"Aguamenti!" I shouted. Water flowed out of the tip of my wand and I felt relieved the charm had worked. I dropped Riptide and my wand, and began to bend the water to my will.

I felt the strange tug in my gut as I moved the water around me. The Chimera had stood mesmerized by what I had just done. I felt powerful and I attacked while I had the strength to.

The water suddenly flew towards the Chimera and stabbed at it. The Chimera spewed fire in its defense. I noticed an opening and took it. I grabbed Riptide with water and stabbed it through the mouth.

The monster exploded into a shower of golden dust and I let the water drop and I felt the tug in my gut lessen.

I turned around as I heard cheering. Behind me the entire school stood.

Harry, Hermione and Ron ran towards me and hugged me saying something, but I was too tired to concentrate.
