A/n: On Quotev, I started writing this story with a friend. Things came up, and I became the only author. But she did write this chapter. I did edit only small changes, like tiny mistakes really. So, here's her work.

Narrator's P.o.v

In Ayato's mind, lingered the memory of the (H/c) haired girl, the way she just stood there, paralyzed by fear, looking at death inching closer with every second. He would categorize her as a typical human, but... there was something different about her. After saving her, Ayato noticed her smell on his clothes. It was addicting, making his mouth water and his eyes change. He hurriedly entered an alleyway and leaned against the wall, taking various sharp breaths. What was happening to him? He was losing control over a random girl.

Not only was he hungry for her, he was urging to search for her whereabouts. Ayato was at war with himself, he hated humans, he fought for ghouls, he shouldn't have saved that girl. His breathing calmed and his eyes turned back to normal. He slid down the wall and glanced at the gray sky. It seemed like it was going to rain and it was just as cloudy as in his mind. A drop fell on his cheek and ran down to his neck. More fell, leaving him soaked while sitting on the alleyway and gazing at the sky pouring down on the 20th Ward.

Y/n's P.o.v

"I never thought you would know such a nice cafe..." I took a sip of my coffee, instantly enjoying it.

"Oi! You are not the only one who knows which are the good restaurants!" Evie pouted at my comment.

"Anteiku, right?" I tilted my head, still holding my cup.

"Yes!" Evie exclaimed. "The sandwiches?" We both glanced at the waitress. She looked fairly familiar...
"They're for me!" Evie was almost drooling at the sight of the food she ordered. I couldn't help but feel I've seen the purple haired girl before.

"Um excuse me..." I looked at her nametag. "Touka-san, have we met before?"

She gave me a strange look. "I'm sorry, I have never seen you."

Hmmm. I wonder why she gives me such a feeling. "Oh, sorry."

Touka waved her hand and with closed eyes smiled. "It's alright!" She walked away.

"That was weird." Evie said.

"No shit Sherlock."

Before Evie could respond, the TV interrupted her. "Another Ghoul attack took place in the 20th Ward, at noon this past Friday. The remains of the victim were identified to be Himura Hinata's..." Evie had a bitter look displayed on her face.

"I hate Ghouls..." I glanced at the window, droplets on the glass. The memories started replaying before my eyes.

"Y/n, don't." Evie took my hand in hers and looked at me sternly.

"I miss them..." Tears were threatening to fall down from my cheeks.

"I know... But you are not alone Y/n! You have the awesome me!" She grinned.

"I rather have Ice cream..." I joked, my smile coming back.

Evie dramatically held her chest. "Ow! My heart! It's reduced to shards now!" I laughed at her goofy act. Evie always knows what to do to make me smile.

"I really want the ice cream though." She sighed, but smiled warmly at me.

"You owe me."

"Yay! Free food!"

Time Skip

"You sure you don't want me to accompany you?" Evie questioned me while opening her umbrella. I smiled, reassuring her I'll be fine.

"Yes! Your parents are waiting for you to come early right?" She was unsure, but still, she had to come home to her parents.

"Okay... Just be carefull, ne?"

"I will!" We hugged and departed. I wish I had someone to go back home to. I walk under the rain, heading back to my empty, but warm, home. There were not many people out, probably caused by the rain. It's lonely.
