I sneaked around the inside of the building, trying to find Y/n. I couldn't pick up her scent and that surprised and worried me. I wasn't sure where they would take her and I had never been here before because of Touka.

Then, I picked up the scent of human flesh. It wasn't Y/n and was instead a mismatch of peoples' scents, but my eyes immediately shifted to black and red. I couldn't stop it.

So I decided to go on the hunt to find where it was coming from to get my strength up. Then I would find Y/n.

Y/n's p.o.v

I groggily came to and my head was pounding to the point I couldn't, and didn't want to, move.

"She's awake!" a young girl called out, making my head hurt worse.

A boy with black hair and a medical eye patch over one eye answered her call and knelt in front of me.

"Are you ok?" He questioned, gently, but quickly, brushing a finger over my upper lip and right under my nose. His finger came away red with the blood he wiped from my cupid's bow.

I flinched away from his touch, my eyes wide and racing with fear. I remembered most of what happened before I was unconscious. I remembered that eye.

He blinked, then pulled his hand back and rubbed the blood off on a white towel that was stuck into his belt loop. He also stood up with his eyes downcast. "Sorry," he mumbled.

"What are you?" I asked. I was sure that I already knew the answer, but I wanted to confirm it. I know that the girl that saved my was a ghoul, but I wasn't positive about this boy.

His eyes widened in surprise. "What do you mean?"

Mine narrowed and I pulled my knees to my chest in a protective manner. But I couldn't help a yawn from exhaustion, which ruined the effect I was going for. "You know exactly what I mean. The girl that was with you is a ghoul, so what are you? And don't even try to tell me your human, because I know that is a lie. But why did only one of your eyes change?"

The boy, most likely my age and in college, looked at the small girl next to him, then at me.

"I'll tell you later. First, we need to make sure that you're ok."

Then, the aforementioned girl, an older man, and a younger man with orange hair walked in.

"Well, at least you're awake now," the girl said, walking over to me and eyeing me up and down.

"You," I said, leaning forward as I realized who she was.

"Me?" she questioned. Then it seemed to dawn on her too. "You came in early yesterday with another girl. We talked a bit because you thought that I looked like someone."

Then I remembered what I was here for and started fumbling around in my purse. Except it wasn't there, so it was more like just running my hands through air. "Where's my purse! How long was I out!" I questioned frantically.

The orange haired male held up his hand and, dangling from his index finger, showed my purse.

"Your name is L/n Y/n, right?" he then questioned.

I nodded slowly, then leaped up and charged at him. I snatched my purse from him, then I suddenly yelped and collapsed to my knees. I clutched my head tightly, willing the pain and throbbing to stop.

The little girl and the eye-patched boy came to my aid, and the orange haired guy only looked at me with wide eyes.

"What the hell are you doing!" the girl, whose name I remembered was Touka, yelled.
