To say he wasn't confused was such an understatement.

He didn't know what to feel at the moment, but when he was with her he felt at ease. It was like that for him ever since they'd met Freshman year.

"Your so fat gray-sama", Juvia snickered at him.

He squinted his eyes at her, "Fat I am, but what are you?", He smirked satisfied with his comeback.

"You're so lame", Juvia shook her head as she sat back on her seat.

They had just finished eating at a cafe by their school. This was the first time in a while they went out for lunch instead of eating in a cafeteria and to him it was kind of nice for a change.

"So tell me about yourself Juvia Lockser?", He gave her a smile. He wanted to tease her a little bit.

"What is this?", Juvia chuckled nervously, a hint of pink gracing her cheeks. "I'm not a stranger".

"So--act like one", Gray laughed causing Juvia to full on blushed. She loved his laugh so much that she could listen to it on replay.

"Okay--um I'm 17 and I-", She paused looking up at the ceiling. "Don't want to do this", she glanced back at gray.

"Why?--Fine how's your Dad?", Gray sighed combing his hair back as he watched Juvia fiddle with her thumbs.

"Fine".

"Juvia come on whenever I ask about him you never tell me-", Gray became worried. Maybe he was, to be honest, focusing more on Blaire than on Juvia lately but he wanted to make it up to her by recollecting their friendship. "You never ask".

Gray stared at Juvia in shock, she had never snapped at him like that...okay maybe sometimes but her aura changed drastically at the moment.

Juvia was annoyed completely. Not only was it because he brought up her father, but because he had never asked her how she was anymore.

"Juvia look I'm sor--".

"Don't be, I'm heading back to school", Juvia got up and headed for the door leaving money on the table.

"Juvia!",  Gray left money on the table and rushed out after her.

"Come on what's going on here", He was honestly confused...in a way. He knew her relationship with her father had sunk lately but he didn't know how bad it was that's why he asked.

"Gray-sama--I just don't want to talk about him", she took a deep breath. "Everything is fine, so please can I--just relish in this moment", she turned to him, her eyes pleading.

"What moment?", Gray asked, one eyebrow shooting up. "You're just so impossible gray-sama", Juvia shook her head as she started walking ahead of him.

"You're confusing you know that?", He slung his arm around her shoulders as they walked.

"So are you", Juvia murmured as she turned her head to the right.

"What's that supposed to mean?", Juvia smiled and shook her head.

Never in a million years was Gray ever going to understand how she felt. Ever.

She kind of liked it this way, It gave her time to just relish in their moments, before things got out of hand. Although she wished things would never.

Upon coming back to the school, Juvia and Gray went their seperate ways, both feeling pretty good about their get together.

"So you and gray huh?", Lucy wiggled her eyebrows. "Me and gray what?", Juvia bit her lip to hold back her upcoming smile. She had to admit her lunch 'date' with gray-sama was refreshing.

"Come on Juvia, give me the details". Juvia squirmed in her seat feeling all too giddy about the topic, she really wanted to tell Lucy. She did, but Juvia didn't want to start bringing up unwated feelings at the moment.

"We only talked, I swear", Juvia gave Lucy a small smile, and went back to studying. Lucy gave her bluenette friend a frown. She knew what Juvia was doing, and she thought it was completely stupid. She began to think Juvia needed to tell Gray.

"I'm skipping this period with Natsu, Juvia", Lucy stood and made her way to the library doors. "I'll catch you later".

Juvia sat in her seat dumbfounded. What was Lucy so mad about all of a sudden? Juvia shrugged and went back to studying, her mind swirling around with different thoughts.
