Chapter 12

I made it to Starbucks in no time and was greeted by a very happy Carl.

"Hey, thanks for coming" he said while smiling uncontrollably.

"Had nothing else better to do" I replied smiling.

"Now what did you want to talk about?" I added.

"Let us get a drink and sit" he said while turning on his heel to the front counter.

"Okay you sit and I'll order your drink" he said while grabbing out his wallet from his back pocket.

"You sure? I do own money" I asked while grabbing my purse.

"Positive" he replied while putting his hand on my purse and closing it.

"Okay" I smiled. "I'll have a van-

"I'm picking" he cut me off.

"You'll love it" he added as he walked off to the counter.

I looked down at my phone to see I had received a message from cole.

Cole - Where are you?-cole

I have no idea why he felt the need to ask me when I had already told him I was going out. If he was ever so curious he should have just asked me then and there.

Me - Im out I told you this

I left it at that and locked my phone. As I looked up from my phone I saw a very worried Carl looking at me.

"Are you okay?" He asked with a worrier expression on his face. I must've looked upset or confused or something.

"Yea" I replied smiling and tucking a strand of lose hair behind my ear.

"Did you wanna talk about it?" He asked while tilting his head a little.

"It's not that big of a deal" I said shaking my head and scrunching my nose a little.

"Right. Taste this then" he said trying to cheer me up. I smiled as he handed me my drink.

"What flavour is it?" I asked while smelling the straw to see if I could try to sniff out some of the ingredients in it.

"Ah ahh" he replied.

"Drink" he said while eyeing me down. He looked like a little kid angry at his mum for forgetting something at the shops. It was too funny to ignore so I took a sip of the drink he had bought me.

And oh my god I'm so glad I did. The flavour was like four different things in one. At first it tasted like honeycomb and then red liquorice and a whole mixture of things. Sounds gross but it tastes amazing.

"Omg what is this?" I asked while drinking even more.

"That is for me to know and you to not know" he replied while smiling. I rolled my eyes and carried on drinking my drink.

"Anyway you summoned me here today for?" I asked while taking my phone of the table and putting it in my pocket incase Cole decided to message and Carl saw.

"Ahh yes, I summoned you here today to ask about our science homework" he said while giving me a serious look. I wasn't too sure if he was being legit but then I realised that the science homework was actually really hard.

"Okay well what question are you stuck on?" I asked. Seeing as I finished my work I thought it would be best to lend some help or something hahaha.

"Umm question 2, 7, 3, 6... all of it..." he said while mumbling the end.

"Oh my.. okay well have you got your work with you now?" I asked raising an eyebrow.

"Uhhh nope" he replied frowning. Oh my god. I pinched my nose bridge while this child in front of me gathered his thoughts in his head.

"Lets make a quick pit stop at your house to pick it up then" I spoke up while rolling my eyes.

"Okay cool, lets go" he replied while jumping out of his seat, grabbing my ban and running for the door.

Oh and who ever to bump into the Cole Sprouse. And yet again at the wrong time with Carl in front of me with a strong grip on my wrist and a giant child like smile plastered across his face.

"Again Valerie. Really?" Cole said while raising an eyebrow and looking at our hands.

How do I even begin to explain this one out. Great.

"I came here to buy you a drink, and I run into this. What the hell Valerie" Cole said loudly making a few people stare.

"Cole it's not like that" I said while making Carl loosen his grip on my wrist and let go.

"Where are you going then Val?" Cole said while raising his eyebrow.

"His house...  to get his homework" I said while resting my hand on his upper arm.

"Don't touch me" he hissed while jerking his arm back.

"Have fun I'll talk to you later" he said while turning on his heel and walking off.

And at that I felt a slight tear run down my cheek.
