Chapter 9

Maths and health went by fast and before I knew it, it was already lunch and one more session till the end of school.

I proceeded my way towards the canteen to get some food and hopefully meet with Kylie or Carl, probably not Kylie because she never eats canteen food. It's not 'organic' enough. Carl however, loves food so there'll be no doubt that he'll be there getting something to eat.

As I reached the canteen I saw Carl standing. At the front of the line. He must have known that I spotted him cause he looked my way straight away and smiled at me.

After he brought his stuff he walked up to me with a pack load of food in his hands.

"Someone's hungry" I joked while smiling at him.

"You know it" he replied winking.

"Want some nuggets?" He asked while holding out a pack of 6 chicken nuggets.

"Are you sure? I do have my own mon-"

"I'm sure" he interrupted. He smiled and handed me the pack of nuggets and 2 sauce packets.

"Come on let's go, the drinks here are wayyyy to over priced, waters for free" he said as he nudged me on the shoulder.

I laughed at his comment and proceeded to the year 10 area.

I hadn't seen Kylie all day but I had beauty last, and knowing Kylie, she's probably in that class too.

As we reached the year 10 area I could see Kylie sitting with a bunch of girls who looked somewhat snobby. So I didn't want to invade there space. Not keen on making enemies all ready.

I think Carl noticed that I didn't want to sit near Kylie because as soon as he noticed Kylie and all them girls he looked at my face and could tell I didn't want to go there.

"Come on, we'll go somewhere else" he said while tugging on my arm softly to guide me away.

As we were walking away I noticed Cole and saw him looking over in this direction. I could instantly feel the tension in the air.

"Are you's okay? I can feel real tension" I said while bumping Carl.

"Yea. Fine" he replied while tugging on my arm so we could  walk faster.

Carl lead us to a small gazebo that was tucked away in a big grass area near the science classes. 

There was flowers here and there and a few trees. It was a real crowd pleaser.

"What is this place? How come no one comes here" I asked confused.

"No ones knows about it. The teachers use to always come here but no one seems to anymore" he replied.

"Why though. It's so pretty" I said while looking around at the space that we were in. It really was truly mesmerising. The flowers, the trees, the nice beautiful green grass that looked freshly cut, the sound of silence and birds silently chirping away.

"Truly mesmerising" I added.

"It is, isn't" he said softly breathing in the aroma.

Minutes passed by before the sound of the school siren was running in my ears and I knew that it was time to leave.

"Come on, let's get you to beauty" he said while standing up and walking towards the classroom.

I turned around one more time, taking a glimpse of the beautiful area before the sight of bush's and leaves filled my view. And that's when I knew that I was going to enjoy it here.

Last session went by somewhat fast and before I knew it I was already home. Getting something to eat.

I grabbed out some ravioli that I had cooked the other day and served my self a plate.

I noticed Mila in the lounge room watching a movie so I decided to join her.

"What's this?" I asked. It looked as if it was some comedy tv series.

"It's the new tv show I'm in, that 70's show" she said while turning it up. I saw Mila on the tv along with a bunch of other teenagers. The tv show really did look good.

"That reminds me, I'm bringing someone over tonight for dinner, so if you want you can ask Talia to come over or something?"

"Yea sounds cool, who you bringing over?" I asked.

"A friend" she replied smiling. I smiled back at her and proceeded towards my bedroom.

I messaged Talia and asked if she would like to come over and thankfully she said yes.

Took her about 20 minutes to come over and as soon as she came Mila's friend had arrived. Might I add it was a boy.

"Hi, you must be Valerie, I've heard so much about you" Mila's friend said.

"Hey, how are you?" I asked politely.

"Yea I'm good thanks, and you" he asked smiling.

"Yea good, well I'm of to my room with talia so have a good night" I said before walking off to my room.

Well that was fun.
