Maes POV

My theory of bringing jeremy into my life has worked. It has turned into December and the winter formal and finals are coming up. My favorite time of the semester is finals because that just means extra tests, which is my favorite thing in the world. I have been studying with jeremy, zander and blake everyday after school and honestly it's fun, the boys are so fun to study with and i never realized how smart jeremy is, apparently he is making straight A's in all his classes now. I will forever be impressed by that sentiment, maybe I've been wrong about him this whole time, but that makes me feel foolish. The winter formal is 2 weeks away and its for juniors and seniors only and i have been waiting for zander to ask me about it, or invite me or ask me to go, but he hasn't. But what was i expecting? So i decided to just bring it up casually in conversation,

We are all at the table, with our books in front of us just simply working on our studies whenever i finally say "so jeremy, have you asked anyone to the winter formal?" i say

"No i haven't, no one is really coming to mind that I'd want to go with" jeremy says

"Well, what about you blake, you going with anyone?v" i ask

"No, zander and i don't really like dances so we were just going to stay in" blake says

"Yeah but jeremy, if you want me to lend you my girl for the night to kinda get me out of it, that'd be great" zander says then smiles

"Yeah, i could take mae off your hands for you" jeremy says then winks at me

"But zander i wanted to go with you" i say

"There is always prom, besides let jeremy have this one, and ill escort you to the next one or whatever" zander says

"I guess that'll be alright" i say

"Trust me mae bae, i am a total gentlemen, you'll have an amazing time."

"Ill go with you if you promise not to call me mae bae for a month"

"One week"

"A month"

"Okay two weeks"

"Fine" i say then roll my eyes.

"Man you gave in two soon you couldve at least got 3 weeks out of me"

"Darn" i say then sigh.

"You're so cute mae" jeremy says then smiles at me, i couldn't help but smile back.

I then saw blake whisper the words "its working" to zander.

Is zander purposely trying to get rid of me? Is he paying jeremy to like me? Has it been this way the whole time? How could he do this to me?
