I woke up unnecessarily early and decided to take my time getting ready. Today I wasn't feeling like hiding. Technically I just didn't care anymore so I chose some skinny jeans and a v neck shirt with a jacket not to revealing but it beats wearing hoodies. I even put on some make up nothing dressy just mascara and lip gloss. I headed down stairs to eat breakfast. There was a note on the kitchen counter.

'Morning my angel, I had a 3am flight I'm sorry I can't take you to school today'.

I got my school bag and began walking to school I was enjoying the solitude and the air on my skin. I let has hair fall loose as I walked. After about 20minutes I walked into the school parking lot.

Today I was feeling oddly confident. Think my inner wolf is taking charge today and I let her. I got to my locker and opened it.

" I don't think I like that look on you" I turned to see a familiar face it took me a moment to recognize him till a huge grin spread across both our faces I jumped up and hugged him deeply.

"Oh my god Brandon!" I said after he put me down.

"What are you doing here" he asked.

"My mum and I just moved here a while ago and you"

"After we left town last year we moved here"

"Wow I can't believe it's really you, I missed you a lot"

"I missed you to short stuff" he said ruffling my hair.

"Hey that took me 30 minutes to do" I pouted while flattening my hair.

"I'm not used to seeing you so dressed up, what happened to the hide behind a hoodie approach"

"I felt like getting some air"

"Ok will take some getting used to but you look great"

"Thank you" I said.

We talked some more and we had the first 6 classes together. Today's classes weren't as lonely as yesterday and time seemed to fly by.

Brandon and I headed into the cafeteria and got in line for some food. I saw Beth at a nearby table and decided we should sit with her.

"Brandon this is my friend Beth, Beth Brandon"

"Hey" they both said.

"Oh Vicky this is Leo and Abby" Beth introduced.

I looked up and saw those same green eyes I had bumped into on the first day of school.

"Hey" I mumbled a little daydream like.

He looked up and gave me a shy smile. There is something about those eyes I'm not sure what but I felt attracted to Leo. He is cute and all but this was different. I shook off the feeling and continued with my lunch. We all talked about ourselves and shared funny stories most of them about Brandon and me getting into all kinds of trouble.

School was over before I knew it. And I was heading out of school. My mind was filled with the events of today I think I'm actually going to like this school. Then I remembered I had to walk home. I groan and began.

"Mom better buy us a car when I turn" I mumbled to my wolf.

"You won't need one hopefully we would have our mate to take us where ever we want" she replied in love.

"Oh I hope he is at least middle class and really cute"

"It doesn't matter I would love him anyway"

"Hey this isn't about you I'm going to have to live, sleep, kiss and make babies with him"

My wolf snorted in laughter.

"What" I asked her annoyed.

"No nothing just imagined you as a mum"

"And what's so funny about that" I asked her angry.

"Need I remind you of Cousin Alex and how u forgot him in the woods or about the time you forgot you were babysitting and left for a run or..."

"Ok ok I get it I'm not the perfect mum, but that's why I have you"

"Yah you do have me and I'm awesome"

" How are you able to kiss your own ass" I replied shaking my head

"Sooo you done talking to yourself?" I heard someone say next to me. I almost jumped out of my skin I didn't even realize that I was standing on the pavement having this argument with myself much less that Jeff was standing behind me.

"I swear you have a death wish" I said to Jeff.

"No not really why" he said smirking, I just rolled my eyes.

"Leave me alone"

"Ok ok but you are standing in front of my car I thought you wanted another ride"

I didn't even realize I was standing in front of his car. I looked up and saw the dark clouds threatening to soak me in rain again. I swear its as if this guy controls the weather. Today he looked causual he wanst wereing his usual uniform, he ws just normal.

"Yah ok fine" I said walking to the car

"Wow is miss stuck up warming up to me?"

"Don't push it Jeff"

"Ok I'm sorry"

He unlocked the car and I got in. we pulled out of the parking lot into the opposite direction.

"Where are you taking me" I asked, looking around nervously. I knew it he is physco and he is going to kill me or something really bad.

"I'm hungry wanted some lunch" he said casually.

"I didn't agree to lunch" still feeling unsafe

"Technically you agreed to a ride where too was up to me" he said proud of himself. Realizing I'm not going to win this argument I dropped it and we drove to a small diner. I got some pancakes and they were the best thing I have ever tasted. After lunch Jeff paid for the food since technically it was his idea and we got back to the car. He began driving and took a turn again in the opposite direction to my house.

"Were you taking me now?" I asked that threatening feeling returning. I knew it he was fattenening me up for the slaughter, wait cwould he eat me..or maybe...

"I know this great place" he said iterupting my train of thought

"Where is it?"

"Just wait and see" he said, I sighed and rested my head against the window, "if I die today you will never hear the end of it" my wolf said to me.
