Behind the Scenes - Part 2, A Vampire Among Angels
Popular Highlights
Recently I discovered a new section on the page for one of my books at Amazon.
It's called "Popular Highlights" and is shown on the right sidebar of the book page next to "Shared Notes & Highlights" after "What Other Items Do Customers Buy After Viewing This Item?"
"Popular Highlights" identify the passages from a book that Kindle customers have highlighted as a favorite. The number of people who have highlighted the text appears at the end of the passage.
"Besides, if I used movies as my guide, I'd be thinking I could sparkle in the sunlight. And you and I both know real vampires don't sparkle. Enough said." 7 Highlighters (Prologue, Part 2 - A Vampire Among Angels) - Said by Rayea, the Vampire from Hell.

Story Insights
Have you sometimes wondered where an author came up with an idea for some part in a story? I thought it would be fun to share a few insights about some themes and items in the Vampire from Hell series.
Awesomesauce
Because Rayea is an avid Internet fan, she typically refers to the Urban Dictionary website for interesting words to learn. If you look it up, you'll see the word 'awesomesauce' with the most votes means 'Something that is more awesome than awesome.'
Day Walker
Rayea is a day walker vampire. In Part 2, she has a "mind meld" with J. She notices after that event she can walk in daylight.
Tayloring
The term "Tayloring" is a name I created for Rayea's obsessive activity of surfing/viewing pictures of the Ashton actor in Part 2. It comes from the term I created called Skarsgarding, based on my interest in Alexander Skargard. I shouldn't tell you this, but before I started writing in 2011, I spent three years running two fan sites featuring the actor. I have downloaded gigs of pictures of this actor and I still maintain them when I have time. Thankfully, I have a few devoted moderators who help me post pics. By the way, Skarsgarding is listed in the Urban Dictionary's website. It was the absolutely first thing I ever got published on October 16, 2010.
