A/n: Due to the request you, (Y/n) are Hau's childhood friend ^^ and this is an AU

Tears streamed down (Y/n)'s face as she ran away from her now new Ex. 'Why always me!?'  She mentally screamed as she kept running where ever her legs took her.

"Damnit..." She cursed under her breath, she slowed her step and started walking. Not knowing where she planned to go she ended up at her's and Hau's meet up spot.

The two were gonna meet up at their signature hang out before (Y/n) was interupted by a text from her former boyfriend telling her to meet him, just to get dumped by the male.

When she walked to the opening, she saw Hau sitting on a rock as he looked to the sparkling ocean. They hung out at this large open ledge that was hidden by trees and bushes, a few rocks were there that we used as seats, just in general it's a great spot.

Hau noticed my presence and looked back, instantly frown when he saw her tear-stained face. (Y/n) sniffed taking a tissue from her pocket and blowing her nose. (Storing the tissue wrapped in another so it wouldn't open in her pocket to throw away later) The girl walked to where Hau sat and sat on the grass next to the rock.

"(Y/n)?" He stared, but the (H/c) haired girl never looked nor responded. She simply just stared out to the ocean where birds flew in flocks.

"Hau... Why does person I date end up breaking my heart...." She wispered.

Hau stepped off the rock and sat next to (Y/n) on the soft grass. He thought through her words, "Because they don't realize how special and amazing you are."

She sniffled again, his words always lifted her spirits but it wouldn't make that much of a difference. Hau continued to frown as he watched new tears form in the corners of her eyes, he hugged he without a doubt and she hugged him back, crying into his chest.

He looked up to the sky, not caring about his shirt getting wet. All he cared about is calming and comforting his crush/best friend.

They stayed like that untill (Y/n) had no tears left to shed. She wiped her eyes and blew her nose again, her eyes red from her breakdown.

"T-Thanks Hau..."

He smiled softly, "Hey, I'll always be here for ya. Want to go get some malasadas to cheer up the mood?" He asked his smile turning to a grin.

"Okay." She tried her best to smile so Hau wouldn't worry.

Hau was ordering for the two while (Y/n) went to the bathroom to fix herself. She scowled when she saw her reflection, her hair was messy as if she just got out of bed and her eyes were red and puffy. She threw out the tissues in her pocket, and raked her fingers through her tangled (H/c) locks. She washed her face with water, and decided that would be the best untill she got home to properly redo (still somewhat tangled) her hair.

She looked to the sink for a few moments lost in a daze. No one else was there... and she needed to release stress. She looked to her left/right (whichever is the non-dominant one) arm and slowly lifted her fingers to brush her nails along the skin... It was her way of relief, another form of pain that doesn't always cut skin
... at least thats what she thinks. (A/n: I know this is somewhat self harm but I actually do this when I'm really stressed, and I'm trying to stop which I do not do this as much anymore. ^~^)

She scratches so much those faint white lines turn to red, so much it looks like the skins about to break. She feels relief wash over her as she sighs, she runs the water on places her arm under the liquid, cooling the skin.

She dropped her arm back to her side and walked out the bathroom. Greeting Hau as she sat down the opposite seat of him.

"Here!" He grinned handing (Y/n) one of the malasadas. She thanked him and unintentionally grabbed the food with her hurt arm.

Hau managed to get a glimpse of the scratches while (Y/n) retracted her arm back to her side as she bit into the treat.

They sat and ate in a silence, neither speaking- for words arn't needed. (Y/n) already knew he saw then second she saw him throw her a scolding yet sympathetic look.

'I'm sorry Hau...'

(Y/n) entered her room and collapsed onto he bed, her mother wasn't home, she went shopping and wasn't gonna be back for an hour.

(Y/n) cried into her pillow, "Why!? The only people who seem to care and understand me is... Hau..." She sobbed.

(Y/n) always had a crush on her childhood friend, though was to oblivious at first she soon realized her feelings. But the voices in her head told her she wasn't good enough and the fear kept her from telling her feelings to him. So she distracted herself with trying to find a boyfriend, each time in the end- ended up with her being dumped and Hau being the one to comfort her.

She fell asleep soon after, she was to tierd after spilling tears twice that day.

She woke up once again with red eyes, "I must have been crying in my sleep..." She mumbled.

She stood up, feeling more depressed then she ever was before. She walked out of her house once she fixed herself and changed into plain simple clothes.

(Y/n) found herself walking to the ledge of where she and Hau normally hang out. She looked off the edge with tears swelling. "Maybe... it'd be better if I'm not here at all... I'm sure..."

(Y/n) took a deep breath... the next few moments seemed to have gone in slow motion, she turned around jumping back of the cliff. Right before she saw Hau running towards her, his crys falling on deaf ears. As she fell Hau jumped and tackled her mid-air, the force making them fall towards the ocean water.

Hau didn't say anything, just hugged her tightly and flipped them over so his back was facing the water. Bracing himself for the pressure of the water. He looked to the girl to attached herself to him with a solem look.

His back hit the water with a slam, he winced as he felt the hard slap of the water hit his back.

He pulled himself along with the exhausted (H/c) girl up above the surface of the ocean. The two gasped for air as they got to the beach, as soon as (Y/n) could breath properly she started apologizing frantically as she teared up.

Hau shook her shoulders and quickly silenced her line of apologies with a kiss. (Y/n)'s eyes widened before closing letting a few tears escape.

"I'm sorry..." She trailed off, apologizing one more before staying quiet.

"Don't do that (Y/n)... I thought you knew how much I care about you..." He said and continued. "I feel empty without you there. You're like my second haft, one I can't live without."

He hugged her to his soaked shirt. "Stop hurting yourself... I'll be there to share your pain so don't release it on yourself. I love you (Y/n) I don't want to lose you."

"Thank you Hau... I love you too." She clung to him like she would fall if she didn't.

"I'm glad... I can't stand to see guys break your heart." Hau pulled away still holding her shoulders. "Be my girlfriend?" He grinned.

(Y/n) blushed and smiled, "I will."
