-Lance's POV- Savior

I warily opened my eyes before lazily closing them right back up. I tried to open them again but the lights were too bright. Sirens were blasting in my ears as there was a constant throbbing on my head. My body felt like lead and my I was freezing cold, shivering like there was no tomorrow.

"Lance!"

Haden's voice made me snap awake instantly as my eyes shot open, almost screaming at the scene. We were no longer in Our Place anymore. All around me, there were people crowded around with the police keeping them back, forming a perfect line in front of me... in front of us.

"Lance!"

Haden yelled again and I looked to the right of me. Haden was tied up to a thick andtall stake in the ground by his wrists, blood running from his strong jaw.

"I said shut up you dam*ed Sparrow!" yelled an officer as he hit Haden with his club in the gut. Haden gagged and bent over, shivering in pain as he gasped for air.

"Haden!"I yelled as I tried to get up but was brought to a terrifying halt... I was tied up too.

No...

Then a thought shot through me.

"ASH!" I yelled. I whipped my head from side to side, almost peeing with relief that he was just to the left of me. Tied up but looking alive. His eyes were bright with fear as he locked his with me before returning his stare to Haden. "Why-"I then suddenly felt a big force make contact with my gut. The shock knocked the air out of me as I bent over, gasping and gagging for air.

"Quiet you pest!!" the officer that just hit Haden yelled.

"La-ance.." Haden wheezed silently as he looked over to me, head being held up by the ground.

"Not another word!" he screamed. Another voice was heard on the opposite of the line we were in. There were others, too. They were all tied up and looked as battered up as us, most worse. The officer ran over there with his club about to punish the voice that had just spoke up. As soon as he left, I swung my face to Ash to ask what was going on, but Haden beat me to it.

"They are lining us up, Lance," he said to me as soft as he could. It was a bit hard with all the yelling, screaming, and crying going on all around us.

"For what?" I asked wide-eyed. My heart was thumping in my chest hard, beating faster than drums.

"To... execute us."

"What?!" I yelled but immediately shut my mouth. The officer swung his head to me but I quickly looked away to avoid eye contact. He eventually moved on after a few seconds of what felt like eternities. "What?!" I yelled in a whisper this time.

"I think the government is reducing the population..." said Ash quietly. "Jobs are going, they had to do something."

"But why now?!"

"Just to in force power, probably showing to us that you have to respect rules," Haden said. "You really don't need a reason to in force power..." he added in, voice raw. "When you're a guy on top, you can do whatever you want, but you still have to show people that you are on top."

I looked down at the ground in front of me.

Really? Is this really what all this is about? Killing innocent lives to show that our parents weren't doing the right thing?! Do you not think they... well... most of the people who had kids knew that they would never be able to have the same lives again, what they had to give up? Freedom and the comfort that they don't ever have to worry about job or payment problems, or have you or a family member be bullied by those of Hawks. Having health care insured and having in-home security and not having to deal with things and promises you can never take back?! Don't they realize what is Sparrows have to go through?!!
