After class

Nico's P.O.V

I walk from Art towards Drama and see Leo there, messing with scraps of metal and looking up at the clock on the wall, I walk over to him, nervous. What if I mess up? What if he doesn't want to work with me and leaves me to do this project alone? How do I even say hello to him, do I say hey or hi? Ugh why are people so hard to talk to! He looks over and smiles. I smile back and head over to him. "So, library?" Leo asks and I nod.

We walk out of school and I see Bianca. Oh no, I forgot to tell her, this is bad. "Nico" she says. I sigh. Leo looks confused. "Who is she?" Leo asks.
"My sister" I say as Bianca walks up to us. "Nico, who is this?" Bianca asks, her accent getting more noticeable.
"This is..." I get cut off by Leo smiling and holding out his hand to Bianca for a handshake. "I am Leo, a friend and currently homework partners with Nico, nice to meet you" he says. Bianca shakes his hand. "Nice to meet you too...what homework project is this?" Bianca asks. "It's the one I got today, it's all about a book and we were going to go to the library to get a book...I forgot to tell you, I'm sorry" I say and Bianca ruffles my hair. "It's okay mi soldatino, you go to the library...I'll tell dad where you are" Bianca says.
"Good luck on your date" she whispers in my ear and I blush. "She giggles as she walks over to Hazel to go home.
"BE BACK BEFORE EIGHT!" Bianca yells as she heads off. Leo smiles.
"She's nice" Leo says and I nod.
"So, as it's only four...and you need to go home at about half seven, we have three and a half hours" Leo says as we head through the centre of town. Leo smiles as we see the library. "Hey, you wanna get a bite to eat after?" Leo asks.
"Sure" I say as we head to the library doors.

He holds open the door for me. "Thanks" I say and he winks at me. I feel a blush coming to my cheeks and we head towards the fiction section. We find the book and joke around the bookshelves a bit. I wait outside while he gets the book to borrow, wondering where he might want to eat, we do have about two hours left. He comes out and smiles. "So, let's go get some food before we starve to death" Leo says and we walk towards the McDonald's.
"So...seeing as we will be spending a lot of time on this project, when do you want to work on this project?" Leo asks as we head into McDonald's. It's pretty dead for this time of day. We order our food and head upstairs in the corner.

"Well, we could figure out a timetable" I say. Leo smiles. "Oh...I have an idea!" Leo says. "You could come round to mine after school! You could eat at ours, my mum makes killer tacos" Leo says and keeps talking about his mum.
"Are you sure your mum won't mind?" I ask. Leo is practically jumping out of his seat with excitement. "Of course she won't mind, she loves when I bring over friends, especially new ones" Leo says. I smile, and nod. "Okay then, when will be okay?" I ask. "I'll ask her and I'll tell you tomorrow okay" he says and I feel myself smiling. He is kinda cute when he is hyper...no stop Di Angelo, remember he has a girlfriend.
