youngjaes's pov:
i guess you could say i'm a little in shock from what i heard. he wanted us to join a couples competition?!
"jaebum are you crazy?!"
"i said it was just for fun and plus there is prize money,"
he said that last part as if it was going to open my eyes to a whole new world. after a little more coaxing from jaebum i finally agreed. mostly, because he was giving me a headache arguing like a little 5 year old.
jaebum held my hand and brought me over to the table where you sign up. i had a weird feeling in my stomach when he held my hand. i don't know what it was that is causing it. he had he large hands interlacing, basically covering my small dainty hands. it was such a weird sensation i felt.
"okay you are now registered i wish you luck!"
the nice woman leaned a little closer and asked jaebum to bring his ear towards her. he whispered something that caused him to go red as a tomato. he still looked ho- OH IMMA STAHP MYSELF BEFORE DIS HAPPENS AGAIN!
i could feel my face heat up from my current thoughts and i could tell jaebum would notice. i don't know what came over me to have such thoughts. dang, i think everyone should refer to younghoe from now on, cause that's what i feel like at the moment.
the lady stopped whispering to jaebum and went back to holding my hand.
"well good luck!"
jaebum and i walked away from the lady and we roamed around the mall some more waiting for when the competition starts. soon the competition did start and we were with at least 14 other couples.
they anounced the first race and i felt my heart stop.
"the first race is a nori strip eating contest!"
we both looked at each other with blushing faces. i haven't even had my first kiss yet. we were handed a nori strip and were told to put each end in our mouth. the first couple to eat the whole thing won the round. i was blushing so hard at this point, mainly because of how close our faces were to each other.
"ready, set, GO!"
jaebum and i's competative side kicked in and we both started to eat the nori strip at a fast pace. the strip started to get shorter and shorter, less space in between our face. my heart was pounding and my cheeks were as read as a tomato. i closed my eyes and heard the woman at the microphone shout.
"the winner of the competition was JAEBUM AND YOUNGJAE!"
i felt something soft and gentle on my lips and opened my eyes. jaebum's lips were on mine, it was a sensation that left a weird feeling in the bottom of my stomach. i wanted to pull away, but my body wouldn't let me. jaebum separated the space in between us and we looked at each other blushing. well that was a way to break the ice.
we were then told the next competition was a carrying competition. jaebum had to hold me in whatever postition he chose and see how long he lasted. the couple that lasts the longest will go against us if we don't win.
jaebum walked over to me and lifted me up. my legs instantly wrapped around him not wanting to fall off and apparently this was the exact position he wanted us to be in. the timer started and we stood there, me looking like a koala.
we lasted long, but soon jaebum's legs gave out. the couple that one looked so familiar individually, but i couldn't really pinpoint who it was.
"the winner of this round is JACKSON AND MARK!"
i gasped and felt my eyes widen. i felt a tiny smirk crawl onto my face when i heard these names. my ship finally came true. so much for the words never gonna happen coming from those two.
"hey jaebum i'll be right back,"
"okay be back soon before the competition starts,"
"okay,"
i walked and made my way over to the couple that i knew and saw them kissing. i tapped on mark's shoulder and before he could say anything to me i saw both jackson and mark's eyes widen.
"so when were you going to tell me you guys were a thing?"
