right before my own eyes, the one boy i loved slipped from my grasp.
the words he mouthed to me before he got hit by the car made my heart break into a million pieces.

the three words that wouldn't leave my head. it was slowly making me lose my mind. i was at a breaking point that i had never been to before.
there was a loud ringing in my ears. i stumbled my way over to jaebum and fell to my knees when i reached him.
"JAEBUM WAKE UP!"
my sobs weren't sobs, they were full on cries at this point.
"PLEASE JAEBUM WAKE UP! WE HAVE TO BE TOGETHER! YOU PROMISED!"
flashbacks of our past as kids made their way into my dark mind as i held jaebum shaking and crying.
Flashback:
i had fallen from my swing and had a cut on my knee. i remember the distinct feeling i felt, pain.
"WAAAH IT HURTS!"
i remember jaebum running towards me with a first aide kit in his hands. he dropped to his knees and kissed my forehead.
"it's okay don't cry youngjae,"
my sobs slowly faded and all that was left was little sniffles here and there.
soon i was patched up thanks to jaebum, he would always take care of me when i was younger, seeing that our parents worked a lot.
i flew to jaebum and gave him a hug, a hug that pulled both jaebum and i to the ground. jaebum started repeatedly give me kisses on the cheek and forehead, we were 10 at this time.
"do you promise not to leave me jaebum?"
"i promise to never leave you youngjae,"
i once again pulled him into another hug.
"I LOVE YOU JAEBUM!"
he chuckled a bit before pulling me into a hug and whispering in my ear.
"i love you too,"
End of Flashback:
"JAEBUM PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME YOU PROMISED WE WOULD BE TOGETHER! YOU PROMISED THAT YOU WOULDN'T LEAVE ME! YOU PROMISED!"
soon the blaring of a siren filled my ears. everything was going downhill, my own life was flashing before my eyes.
jaebum was going to die, he was going to leave me alone. i hate being alone, but jaebum never made me feel alone.
i gave jaebum one big squeeze.
"jaebum i'll wait for you, i promise,"
then the world went black.
