As soon as Amelia stepped out of the hospital, she felt as if she stepped into an entirely different place.
Everything around her was light, like clouds. When she looked down, her assumptions were correct, as even the floor was made of vapours.
She couldn't understand anything. She was afraid of even taking a step because she thought that the cloud would vanish and then she would keep falling down until she was dead.
But No! She was already dead. How could she die again? She thought to herself.
She had to go somewhere. She couldn't just keep standing at one place. But before moving, she shouted, "Anyone here?"
Of course there was going to be no reply, Amelia chided herself, but, now as she was becoming desperate, she had to ask. She treaded her foot forward lightly.
With one step came another and another.
She could see small hazy dots beneath her. Could it be what Amelia was thinking, was? Could it be humans, that were underneath these clouds.
Maybe.
It could be the human world, where she belonged earlier. But she had left everything behind. It was all her fault. If she wouldn't have taken that step, she would have been down there, with her brother, with her friends, alive.
"God!" she said, this time with sadness and despair clearly evident in her voice.
She dropped to her knees with tears flowing down her face and her nose and ears getting red.
She could feel the fast pacing wind blowing around her all of a sudden. Everything around her was getting brighter. Golden to be more specific. It was so bright that she couldn't see anything now. Her hand was covering her eyes.
Then she heard a voice, like a whisper. She couldn't understand what the voice said but she found it a little familiar. Within a few minutes, it wasn't just one voice but many. Some male and some female, all recognisable. It seemed that all the voices were crying. All she could make out of those voices was her name.
The suddenly it became clearer. The voices were that of her brother, Illiana, Ashlyn, Thea, and some of her parents.
She couldn't bear to hear the voices of her loved ones in pain. She covered her ears with both her hands but the voice only grew louder, louder than ever. It was becoming even more intensified. It was, as though the voices resided in her ear, her brain, her soul. It was hitting Amelia harder than ever.
It felt as though everything was ending. Everything was falling apart. She started screaming for help. She screamed her throat raw, but no one came.
It was the worst sort of torture anyone could give to anyone. The voices now didn't just say her name but also kept saying that she had betrayed them. Those voices were sounding blames at her. For every wrong ever did to anyone.
She had never felt so bad and horrible ever before. Her one wrong step and look what had happened. She blamed herself for everything. She couldn't take it anymore. Within a few seconds she lost consciousness and was swept into a world of silence.

"Wake up, my child." said a voice.
Slowly, Amelia opened her dry eyes. Eyes which were raw and dry after crying and sobbing so much.
She looked around but, to find no one. But this time she knew who it was. She was still at the same place where she had lost consciousness.
