Chapter 5 : We Were so Close

Elsa's P.o.v

"Olaf?" I asked, still shocked from what I saw.

"You built me. Remember that?" The snowman questioned me.

"And you're alive??" I threw him back a question.

"I think so." He answered clenching and unclenching his fists.

I stare at my hands. "I made a living creature." I thought to myself. Still unable to process such ability.

"It's just like the one we built as kids." Anna interrupted my thoughts.

"Yeah" I answered her statement. Disbelief still visible on my face.

"Elsa, we were so close. We can be like that again." Anna tried to persuade me. But the thought of me striking her with my powers when she was 5, appeared in my head.

Out of fear, I immediately answered: "No, we can't. Good bye, Anna." I turned my back and walked away.

"Elsa, wait..." She insisted.

"No! I'm just trying to protect you!" I answered her back with conviction. I walked up the stairs to the ballroom.

Anna, running after me, started to sing:

"You don't have to protect me.

I'm not afraid.

Please don't shut me out again.

Please don't slam the door.

You don't have to keep your distance anymore.

'Cause for the first time in forever, I finally understand.

For the first time in forever, we can fix this hand in hand.

We can head down this mountain together.

You don't have to live in fear.

'Cause for the first time in forever...

I will be right here."

I hesitated to answer her back but I felt the need to tell her to go back home. So, I answer:

"Anna.

Please, go back home.

Your life awaits.

Go enjoy the sun,

And open up the gates..."

"Yeah, but..." She tried to contradict me. But i cut her off.

"I know, you mean well.

But leave me be.

Yes. I'm alone.

But I'm alone and free!

Just stay away! And you'll be safe from me..."

"Actually, we're not." Anna tells me.

"What do you mean you're not?" I ask.

"I get the feeling you don't know." She says, with her eyes filled with concern.

I roll my eyes and ask; "What do I not know??"

Anna took a deep breath and said: "Arendelle's in deep, deep, deep, deep snow..."
