Chapter Twelve
Sparks and tingles exploded in my body as soon as our lips touched. The kiss remained slow and passionate, just the way I like it. Alex bit on my bottom lip, causing me to let out a small gasp, giving him access. That sneaky-- The rest of my thoughts were forgotten from the blissful feeling that quickly engulfed me.
After what seemed like hours of making out in the water, we both pulled away, breathlessly.
Alex smiled a boyish smile, both of us still trying to fill our lungs with air. "That, that was..."
"Perfect." I finished for him, probably wearing a blissful expression on my flushed face.
Alex's POV
"Perfect." When she finished my statement, I couldn't help but agree that the kiss was indeed perfect. I pulled her in for a short kiss, making her face even more flushed than it already was. I never imagined our first kiss after four years would be this great. I realized just how much I had missed the feeling of her lips, pressed against my own, until now.
We swam a bit more before we decided to head back home. I couldn't help but watch her when she was putting her clothes back on. I flinched a little when I caught a glimpse of her wound from three weeks ago's incident. It made my blood boil and I didn't realize I was glaring at it until I felt a hand caressing my cheek, affectionately. I looked at Kennady and she wore a small smile with concern written all over her beautiful face. "Don't think about it, okay? I'm okay now." I smiled, nodding before placing a hand atop hers, leaning my head towards her hand.
"I just can't help but---" She placed a small yet sweet peck on my mouth, shutting me up. I sighed, before I held her small, delicate hand in my big one, intertwining them. "Let's go home."
When we reached the driveway of the beach house, I stopped walking, causing her to stumble a bit. "Sorry." I mumbled.
"What's wrong?" She asked, stepping closer to me, coiling her arms around my waist. Her face scrunched up in such a cute way, I couldn't help placing a small kiss on her pouting lips.
"Nothing. I just wanted to ask you something." I replied, nervously. Geez, this feels like the first time I asked her out, four years ago.
"Alex, please tell me what's bothering you?" I snapped out of my own thoughts and looked back at Kennady.
I smiled. "Nothing's bothering me."
"Then what do you want to ask me?" She questioned, lifting an eyebrow, curiously.
