Chapter Four

I tried my hardest to push him away from me as he straddled me, but he was stronger than me. "Don't push me away, sweetheart. It would do nothing to stop me." He grinned, maliciously. He started unbuttoning his shirt and I looked away, squirming underneath him.

Soon, he was left in just his underwear and I felt his hands start tugging on my top, roughly pulling it off me. I struggled to keep my arms down as to not let my shirt slip off them, but he grabbed me by the wrist and pulled them over my head and tied them with a rope on the bedpost.

Where'd he get a rope?

Suddenly realizing that he had tied my hands when I still had my shirt on, he grabbed onto it and ripped my shirt apart. "Mmm... You have such a smooth, lovely body... I can't wait for what I've planned on doing to you." He moaned, leaning down to run his ton---

I sprung up from bed, soaked from sweat and raised a hand up to my tear-stained face. "Argh, why can't you leave me alone?! Can't I have a good night's sleep without you in it?" I spat, viciously, at nothing in particular. I cried and sobbed for about an hour until I had no more tears to shed.

I looked at the time and saw that it was only five in the morning. I groaned and stood up from my bed, preparing myself a warm and relaxing bath. I snatched my IPod and dock from my desk and placed it right next to the tub. I set my IPod on shuffle and the first song that came on was "Bad Day" by Justin Bieber. I would've changed it, since it just made me cry even harder, but I couldn't. I don't know why, but I really just couldn't.

This summer was supposed to be fun, but what happens? It became a crying fest for me. Fantastic, just simply fantastic. Not.

About an hour later, when my skin turned into prunes, I stepped out of the tub and got dressed.

I swept my hair up and tied it into a loose ponytail before applying a thin coat of concealer underneath my eyes to hide any proof of my crying. When I was done, I grabbed my phone, IPod, and earphones before I walked out of my room.

When I got downstairs, nobody was awake yet, so I snatched an apple from the fruit basket then made my way to the front door. I took a deep breath in before I plugged my earphones in and started jogging towards the beach.

Once I reached the beach, I plopped down on the white sand and closed my eyes, with my arms laid across my stomach.

A little while later, I decided to get up and head back to the beach house.

I slipped off my running shoes and kicked it to the side of the front door as I slammed the door shut.

I walked in the kitchen and was about to grab a drink from the fridge when I saw Alex lift his head from the fridge. When he caught my eye, he quickly looked away and walked out of the kitchen, using the other doorway, which led to the entertainment room.

I sighed, resuming what I was about to do before I saw him. After I finished a bottle of water, I made my way upstairs and took another shower.

I was heading down the stairs in a much better mood, but then my heart froze, making me stop dead in my tracks.

I know that voice. I can never forget it no matter how hard I try.

It can be someone with the same voice, right? I thought, trying to calm and reassure myself but who am I fooling here? Whenever and wherever I go, I will know the owner of that voice.

"Yeah, I just got back here yesterday morning. I thought you guys would be here, so I decided to check." Chills ran down my spine as I started hyperventilating. Why did he have to come back now? I thought he was in Australia? What is HE doing here?

I was snapped back from my panicking thoughts when I heard my name come out from HIS mouth.

"Kennady? You're back... How've you been?" To the others, the way he looked at me looked like shock, but I knew well enough to know that it was far from just shock. He raked his disgusting, malicious eyes from my head to toe before making eye contact, which I looked away from. From my peripheral vision, I saw him smirk.

Sean draped an arm around his shoulders, with a grin on his face. "Kennady, aren't you gonna at least say hi?" He may have been grinning but I got the look he discreetly sent me.

"Hi." I muttered in a flat tone before walking past them and out the door.

"Do you want me to come with you?" I heard Emily ask but I couldn't give her a reply since I just wanted to get away from the house as fast as I could. I guess Emily decided to just follow me and Aubrey, too, as I heard two pairs of footsteps behind me. "Kennady, wait up!"

Instead of slowing down, I just fell to my knees on the ground, hugging my knees to my chest. I felt four arms help me up to my feet, leading me to the closest bench there was. I didn't even notice that I ran all the way to the small beach park, until now.

"Ssshh... We won't let him come near you. We're gonna be here, just like we promised you. We wont let anything happen to you, again." Aubrey whispered, soothingly while gently caressing my hair as Em patted my back, softly.

"Why? Why'd he have to come back? Why now? Why---" I was cut off as Em pulled me to her chest, hugging me tight.

"I don't know. We don't know. He just came without notice." Em muttered.

While the three of us sat there in the park, I slowly calmed down before we decided to head back since it was getting dark.

Kenneth called earlier asking where we three had ran off to and told us how we weren't able to bid Ryan goodbye. When we heard that, I was able to breathe out in relief.

Once we got back, we made up an excuse that we wanted to see something really important and they bought it as we always did things like that. We had dinner and after that, I went up to my room after assuring Em and Bree that I was better, even though I wasn't. I just didn't want to bother them with my problems since we're supposed to have fun this summer.
