-Two Years Earlier-

“Hyukkie-ah! Where have you been? You’re late!”

Eunhyuk grinned and shook his head at a pouting Sungmin. He was adorable when he pouted like that. Then again, it was Sungmin. He was always adorable.

“Hey Minnie-hyung. I know, I’m really sorry. My parents were up my ass about getting my AP schedule filled out. They’re always on me about being “the best I can be”.” He rolled his eyes, clearly showing what he thought of the statement., “I’d rather just drop school all together and go to that dance audition at a studio downtown. They shot that one down real quick.”

                Sungmin frowned.

“I’m sorry Hukkie-ah.” He knew what dancing was to Eunhyuk. It was like the oxygen he needed to breathe. If there was a dance team at SBS, Eunhyuk would’ve joined it on the spot.

“Don’t be. It’s all good. You know I’ll get my way eventually. I always do.” And that was the truth. His father owned the largest banking corporation in South Korea, so money was no object for him. Lee Hyuk-jae got what he wanted. Always.

He and Sungmin had been friends since childhood. Half of the friends that Eunhyuk had, he had because of Sungmin. This included Cho Kyuhyun, Sungmin’s ex boyfriend. The three of them formed a trio that was inseparable. They were even attending the same boarding school together. Each of them came from wealthy families. Sungmin’s father was the vice president of the banking corporation that Eunhyuk’s father owned. And while Kyuhyun’s mother only owned an art academy and a café, his father owned an entire education business. They weren’t students to be messed with. They dominated.

“Hyungs!” Kyuhyun called, taking them both by surprise.

                “Kyu-ah!” Sungmin spoke happily.

Despite being broken up, Kyuhyun and Sungmin were very close friends.

“Guess what?” the youngest boy didn’t give them a chance to respond before he continued, “A new kid moved next door to me yesterday. His name is Kim Ryeowook and he’s gorgeous! Not only that, but he’s only a year older and attending SBS. His parents moved here specifically for that reason.”

You’d probably think it was rude to be gushing about a new guy when your ex boyfriend was right there, but that was normal. In fact, just last week Sungmin had been gushing about the heir to the Park Family Law Firm, Park Jung-soo, who was two years older, but only one grade ahead of them.

“Congratulations Kyu-ah!” Sungmin exclaimed, happy for his friend, “Does he like you too? When will you start dating him?”

Kyuhyun laughed as Sungmin fired off question after question.

“Slow down Minnie! I just met him yesterday. I’m not sure he even likes guys.”

Sungmin pouted. He’d been hoping for more juicy information than what he was given.

“But, I will find out. Secrets don’t hide from me for long.” Another truth. Kyuhyun was very intimidating when he wanted information. It was why he was going into the law circle when he graduated.

“So, Hukkie-ah. Has anyone caught your eye yet?”

Eunhyuk had been tuning them out. Even though he wasn’t into guys, he didn’t mind them talking about their various crushes, but still, it did get a bit awkward sometimes.

“Huh? Oh. No, not really. Unless you count Kyuhyun’s sister. She’s pretty.” He was teasing of course. Kyuhyun would castrate him if he ever attempted to get with his sister. Besides, Ara was like family to him.

“Don’t even think about it. Ara’s off limits and you know that.”

Ara was Kyuhyun’s only sibling, so of course he was very protective of her.

“I was only teasing. Ara’s like family to me Kyu-ah.”

Just then, the front gate of SBS came into view.

                “Ready?” Sungmin asked.

Eunhyuk and Kyuhyun grinned at each other.

“More than ever. We’re going to own this place.”

They linked arms and with Eunhyuk in the middle, they walked through the gate.
