It had been 3 months since ref the oshawott left the Pokémon world and post town wasn't the same. Everyone was depressed. Even the most peppy Pokémon like swanna was in the sad mood. Rampardos wasn't even flirting with chinchino, which was the sign that everything wasn't right with the universe.
Paradise wasn't in much better shape either. Without their leader they were all down in the dumps. Even tough pika became the de facto leader, she didn't feel like doing anything. Even with all of that they still tried to push on. They gained new members like the other 2 swords of justice, emboar, snivy, axew, and melloeta. They all wanted to meet ref but after hearing the story, they were sad that ref was gone with no way back. Until one day...
