I blinked my eyes open staring ahead at the wall. I went to slide out the bed when Mijo tightened his arms around my waist. I groaned.
"Come on Mijo man."
"Come on baby stop playing." He pressed his lips to one of the hickies he gave me on my neck pulling my back to rest against his chest.
"Mijo come on I gotta go."
"So your gonna just fuck me then leave ? Fuck it go."
He took his arm from around me.
I sighed turning over to face him , he turned his head.
"Mijo stop." I said laying on his back.
"You don't understand Cyn all I want is to be with you It sucks I can never hold you as much as I want. I spend all day everyday thinking about you and I swear its like I aint shit to you. Your always gone and damn I know I am to but your never here - never and everyone's always clowning me and shit you know how annoying it is fighting and arguing with these stupid ass niggas just because my girl never checks in. Meanwhile your doing whatever you wanna do telling niggas you single" He was mad because I could feel his muscles tensing up.
I sighed and climbed off of him putting my clothes on.
"Where you going?" Mijo asked
"I'm leaving."
"No your not." He said getting up
I rolled my eyes walking to the door. I walked out of it seeing Chris , Keis , Shy , A.G & Lola. Mijo grabbed my waist pulling me back into the room closing the door he put me up against it.
"What did I say?"
"Does it look like I care what you said?"
"Cyn i'm not playing with you."
I pushed him from my way going and sitting on the bed.
He sighed rubbing his face frustratingly. He sat in front of me.
He took one hand in his and he grabbed my chin making me look him in the eye.
"Look i'm sorry Cyn staying a day or two isn't gonna kill you."
"Fine , fine just two days Mijo that's it."
He smirked at me and leaned in pressing his lips to mine a few times.
.
"Come on I wanna take you somewhere." He said pulling me up. I switched my shoes to a pair of Bred 4s I had under his bed.
He slid a pair of sweats over his boxers and he put on a wife beater sliding in his concord jordans. He grabbed my hand and we left the room closing the door behind us.
"Congratulations , you two broke the record for most awake during sex." Chris said in his spokes man voice. I laughed shaking my head.
"Claim , your prize." A.G said in his spokesman voice holding out a big box of trojans.
Mijo took it and put it in the room then came back grabbing my hand.
"Thanks." He said pulling me to the door.
"Santana when you get back we's needa' talk chicka." Lola said.
I nodded as we closed the door behind us.
. . .
"We really needa' work on us." Mijo said lacing his fingers through mine as we sit in the soccer field. I leaned my head on his shoulder.
I mumbled. "I know." As the breeze took my hair.
I just stared into the empty field imagining a soccer game going on now. Craziest thing is I saw myself against all the rest of the world. Its like i'm fighting my own trying to reach my own goal in what seems like a societal war. I see it ass people trying to reach our goals to say their better than us attempting to beat us at our own game. Its only when your alone that you realize that the only way to reach your goal in this war is to do for you and realize every nigga out there ain't your friend. Then its like automatic that I beat the entire world at this game of soccer.
"Baby?"
I looked up at Mijo.
"What are you thinking about?"
"War?"
"War? Your ass tryna set it off?"
"Yes."
"What time is it?"
"Like 4:30." I said looking up at him squinting because of the sun in my eyes.
"IIght lets play some basketball then I gotchu' tonight and you can have all the stacks. Deal?" He said drawing circles in my hip.
"Deal."
He pressed his lips to mine then he got up and I climbed on his back as he held the ball in his hand walking to the basketball court..
