I thought I'd do something different and write a poem using lyrics from songs that already exist. The only changes I made to the lines were changing articles from "he/his" to "it/its".
Darkness
I feel its arms around me
I close my eyes
And it has found me
I'm feeling nothing
So I dug right down to the bottom of my soul
And cried
In the sounds of silence
I'm gone
My heart's far, far away
It doesn't matter
I don't give a fuck about you anyway
You're dead to me
