I am afraid.
But not of the monsters under the bed and waiting in the shadows,
Not of falling through the air from the highest cliff into the pit of nothingness,
Not of the darkness that awaits everyone at death,
But I am afraid of the thoughts rushing around in my head.
I am afraid of being able to express my true thoughts and feelings.
I am afraid of being in the unsafe environments where I spend my life hiding my entire being, suffocating in the constiction of the mask i am forced to wear.
I am afraid, but not of the things one would expect.
I am afraid of living my life.
