Poem 23: Truth

I hate you. I hate you.

But I love that you hate me too.

Its 2:13, and I can't sleep,

All I hear is the sound of your weep.

You're mad,

Making yourself sad.

But that's nothing new.

The hurt in your eyes, such a lovely hue.

I love it, I don't care,

While you're puking my words,

I'll hold your hair.

You're the only one who hurts.

You won't smile,

At least not for a while.

I couldn't be happier, I finally got to you,

Keep puking, feel the pain you now slew.

I realize you're right at the end of today,

It's true, nothing gold can stay.

"Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay."
