It didn't matter anymore. At least not tonight.
She felt warm. She felt good. It was relaxing.
Why had she never thought about it when he stayed at her place occassionally? Prithvi used to sleep in one of the rooms when they had to work late night. He had also kept a few of his belongings there itself.
She kept wondering about things and didn't even realize when she drifted to sleep.
Prithvi, on the other hand, felt her rhythmic pace and knew that she fell asleep.
The morning was going to be very interesting. He had observed how her body reacted to his touch. He just needed to know if he was the one responsible for it or the fact that she had not been touched for a long time.
It was time. Time to make some move and this was just a start. He knew it would not be easy but apart from Revenue they both needed a life.
He smiled to himself and let sleep consume him as well.
This was the one of the best sleep that they both had received in a very long time.
*****
KT stirred in her sleep but could not move. Her safety instinct kicked in and she tried to kick but just like her hands, even her legs were trapped. She felt something poking in her back. Could it be a gun??
She inhaled deeply and closed her eyes for a while to recall the events from last night that led her being trapped.
How could she be so careless? So many lives depended on her. She had responsibilities to take care of. She could not afford to get kidnapped or die.
Wait!!
She realized that her limbs were not tied actually. She was just trapped with another pair of limbs. But she didn't do one night stands. She tried moving again. This time with more force.
"If you keep rocking that way, I might not be able to control myself." A hoarse voice whispered in her ear.
She stilled.
Prithvi!!
But how??
She checked her clothes.
"Nothing happened. Sorry to disappoint you." He mumbled again and nuzzled.
She could feel his hot breath on her neck. His body radiated heat which made her warm and gave a very peaceful feeling. Now that she thought about it, she did sleep very soundly. No nightmare, no scheming, nothing.. Even after failing the first step of her revenge.
Revenge...
All of a sudden she felt guilty, as if she was cheating on Rhishi. This was the thing that had kept her locked always, even after ten years.
"Get out!"
"What?" He was already expecting something like this.
"I said get the hell out of here." She almost screamed getting out of the bed.
Prithvi rose and sat on the bed exposing his well toned body and yawned.
"What the... Did you really sleep like this with me??" She asked shocked but could not avoid a blush creeping into her cheeks.
He looked at her tomato colored face
"I had informed you but you were sleeping like a log.""No! I wasn't. I..." And she stopped realizing that she was just pretending.
"You what?" He raised an eyebrow.
"Nothing. Just go."
"Don't you think this is not a way to greet good morning to your friend who spent a night with you?"
"You are not my..." She was not even allowed to complete what she was saying.
"its good that you don't think of me as your friend because what I feel for you is no were near being just friends." With that he gave a wink and left whistling.
Hearing him say that directly had hurt her. She knew he never considered her his friend. Most probably he held her responsible for loss of his best friend. They had never talked about that incident or Rhishi. She had always considered him as either Rhishi's best friend or Mr Sanghvi's godson. He was with her because they had same motive. But she had started seeing him as a friend finally. Feeling of having a friend after such a long time had felt good but he had clearly disclosed the fact that he didn't even consider her as his friend... And it hurt her. More than she had thought. She shook her head, focusing her mind to today's agenda. She had lots too do.
*****She entered her office and went directly to her secret room. She needed to look into the confidential file that was provided by George this morning. The detective was the best, she had to admit that. She wouldn't have picked him up at the first place if he was not what she was looking for.
She had gained some more information about Mir and Singhal. Apparently Singhal was actually trying to be good. There were not many womanising actions from his end. But on the other hand for Mir, everything was at peak; be it rape, kidnapping or murder. His easiest target being women and children. The latest information on him had shocked her to the core. Apparently he was picking teenage girls from the orphanage and women empowerment centres for supporting abused women. He preferred girls with disabilities especially one being mute or blind or the victims of rape.
KT closed her eyes with disgust. She wanted to kill him personally torturing him to death. She decided to change her plans for both of them. Just because Singhal had changed his ways, it didn't make him guiltless. They both had to pay and they will.
She needed Prithvi. His inputs were important. Very important.
