The vibration of her mobile brought her back to reality.

It was of no use.

Recalling the past was of no use. She had work to do.

A lot of work..

So what if she had failed in her first attempt. On positive side, she felt relieved slowly. She was being too nervous and could have messed it up.

She needed some other plan where she did not need to face them personally unless it was absolutely necessary.

Her phone was still ringing. She saw the caller and decided to have it.

"You need to sleep you know." A very soft voice of Prithvi was heard.

She sighed.

Why did he always know?

It was not difficult for her, or anyone else for that matter, to not get impressed by him.

That girl would be lucky, whoever will have him.

Though the thought of him being with anyone else left her with a weird pain in her chest, something that she had not felt in a very long time.

But she was ruined for him, or for anyone else, he deserved someone better.

"There is no use of thinking so much. Open your front gate." His voice brought her back to reality and then it struck.

He was here.

But why was he asking for entry, he already had keys.

Yes, somehow, she had trusted him that much, too much, if you ask her. It was just that he didn't need to know that.

"I can't keep standing outside. It's freezing here. And no, I don't have keys. Now open the gate please."

She looked at her wrist watch, making her drink fall over herself. She cursed. It was past midnight. And she had been sitting just like this for more than three hours now, her drink forgotten completely.

She used her remote control to open all the gates for him, without even moving from her place. Had she got up and looked at herself, she would have realized what a mess she had been.

Then she recalled that Prithvi had already bid his goodnight then what would have brought him back, that too at this time.

She was still wondering when she saw him entering.

"Am sorry, I know I said I am leaving and I did but then I thought that I don't want to be alone tonight. Can you please give me company? You don't need to sleep with me, technically." Prithvi said smirking.

"Take your usual place, the guest room. You know the way."

"I know. But it's different tonight. Please? Pleasepleaseplease?" He requested with his puppy eyes, though he knew these things hardly worked on her but still, there was no harm in trying right?

She gave it a thought...

They were no horny teenagers. They were two adults who were going to lie sown next to each other. There was nothing wrong in that.

Absolutely not!

So what if they had been kissing each other like they needed it like oxygen. That was just a moment which had passed.

Of course!!

As if they never had any attraction to each other and not even any sexual tension between them.

Nope! Not at all!! That is all bull crap!

So, she decided it was absolutely safe to let him sleep in her room. Not that she needed him tonight like she would have needed Rhishi after her first failure.
