"Faith! No!" My father hopped up immediately and began charging towards me.

I would have stopped and waited for him, but, something kept me going. It was like... something was controlling me.

Charge your father. This is your battle.

Oh, the voice in my head again. Why did it only bother me when I was using the horn?

Because it's my horn!

I flinched as the voice yelled. Her horn? (I could tell the voice was female.)

Yes, my horn. I connected with you, and as long as you live, I live. We are one. Now charge him.

"No!" I yelled, but some unseen force made me charge towards the other unicorn. Oh, no. We were both going at full speed.

"Karisa!" He yelled as he stopped abruptly. "This wasn't part of the deal!"

"Marcus! Stay out of this!" I yelled before I could stop myself.

Get out of my head Karisa.

No.

Stupid unicorn spirit.

A loud roar made me turn around. Oh yeah, my brother was still a giant fire breathing dragon.

"OUT!" Brandon roared.

Suddenly, he shrunk, lost his wings, and became human.

"Out!" I squeaked.

Pathetic human.

"Out." My father, or maybe Marcus, his spirit unicorn guy, commanded.

Never...

"Fine, have it your way."

My father raised his horn in the air and it started glowing. "Out. now."

I felt my self standing up. I felt myself turning into a human.

"Faith. What were you thinking?" My father walked up to me.

"Sorry." I looked at the ground.

"You couldn't even control your spirit." Naren smirked.

"Naren." My father growled.

He turned to me again. "I had it under control."

"Hey, everything is better now, and Faith won't do it again." Brandon walked up putting an arm around me. "Right sis?"

"Yeah, I know our powers are unstable now." I smiled at him thankfully.

"Good." My mother walked up. "Your training will begin tomorrow. Rest up."

"Naren?" She turned to the fairy. "Can you and some other faries set up a tent for Faith?"

"No problem." Naren drifted towards me. "Come on."

"Wait, I can do it myself!" I said angrily.

"That's what I thought." Brandon smiled.

"Kearin, come!" He whistled and the two walked towards another tent.

"Fine." I followed Naren to an empty spot where other faries were gathered.

"Ok, faries." Naren commanded. "Look at her room, and you, Faith, move over so we c-.... Oh my goodness!"

Naren looked at me. "Where did you live, a basement?"

"Attic." I corrected.

"Ok, faries room makeover, let's do purple and light blue... and lime green!" Naren shouted.

"Umm, for the color of the tent? Isn't this a little too much, I mean all the other tents are yellowish..."

"Shush!" Naren said as she and the faries started chanting.

The tent glowed with a brilliant light, then it died down peacefully.

"Go inside." Naren urged.

"Ok, but I don't see why this is such a big... wow!" I stepped inside and now everything made sense.

I was not standing inside a tent. I was standing inside a bedroom. My dream bedroom. The wall was a swirly pattern of blue and green. So was the circular carpet on the nice wood floors. A plush purple chair sat in one corner and a dresser in the other. The bed was huge and it had the same pattern as the walls on the quilt, with the addition of purple swirls.

"Naren!" I plopped down onto the bed and realized that it was really comfortable. "This is absolutely gorgeous!"

"Shoot," Naren stole a glance at the wall space across from my new bed. "I forgot the TV!"

And with a snap of her fingers a flat screen TV appeared where she was gazing.

"Get some sleep. Training begins soon." Naren said, exiting the room.

I was asleep before my head touched the pillow.
