I just stood there for the longest time. I stood and stared. My mother.... Would I ever be free from her? Finally, Naren broke the silence.

"Is this the crazy lady you were talking about Faith?" She looked on innocently.

I shrunk back and bumped into Brandon, who was behind me.

"You all betrayed me!" I said, glaring at him and everyone else.

"Sweetie, it's not what it seems, now let's go back home." My mom took a step towards me.

"No." I reached into my backpack and brought out the unicorn horn, making the tip glow.

"Faith. Put the horn down." The other lady stepped up.

"Please, let me explain, or let Martha." My dad placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Isn't this what we came for in the first place?" Naren landed on my shoulder.

"Fine. Go ahead." I reluctantly sat down on a rock.

"Clear your mind." My mother approached me.

"Are you going to brainwash me?" I glared at her again.

"Just do it. Please." Wait. Please? My mother has never said that word to me.

I sighed, then entered a vision.

I was standing in my parents room.

"Are you ready to create the dream and save it?"

My head turned to my father's voice. I gasped silently. I knew this. I saw it only one day ago...

"Sure, anything for the faries..."

That voice was my mother.

"You know, you are going to have to act like you hate her."

"I know."

"You can't tell her anything about her real family."

Wait. What? My real family? But my family is Drake, my dad, and my horrible mother....

"Are they all ready to go? Brandon? Sara?"

Wait what? I don't even know who they are... Well I know Brandon.

"Yes, and we need a fake brother for her dream..."

Fake? I didn't know if I wanted to hear more...

"Josh?"

"Mike?"

"Hmmm... Drake?"

"Nice one Martha. Good name. Plenty magical."

"Haha, now you had better get going, I'll prepare the dream."

"Bye."

"Bye."

And with that I was plunged back into the real world.

"You mean.." My eyes were wide and brimming with tears.  "There is no Drake? I never had a brother..."

"Oh, you have one all right." My mother's eyes weren't hard, and cold anymore. They were soft, and sort of playful.

"Is he dead?" I whispered.

"No." Whispered a voice.

I turned and saw Brandon standing right behind me. Realization dawned on me.

"You left me too?" I asked and burst into tears. Everyone was staring at me so I shook my head and looked at my father.

"Ok, that's settled, but..." There was one question I had been meaning to ask my dad. My eyes wandered around the clearing until I found the person I wanted. She was the other lady that had appeared with my mother.

"Who is she? Is she Sara? Is she my aunt or something?" I demanded.

"Well," my mother walked up "You sort of have it right."

"I'm the aunt." My mom pointed at herself. "She's your mother."

"Huh?" I stood there, something I was very good at.

"Wait... WHAT?" I yelled.

"ARE YOU EVEN MY FATHER?" I yelled at my supposed "dad."

"Stop yelling," the unicorn father guy rubbed his temple. "Yes I am your father."

Ok, so he was my father.

"We did this to protect you." My real mother came up. "You, and everyone else. Your powers are, a bit unstable..."

"You see, Brandon's are like that too, so after we tested him we had to take him." My father walked up again. "We didn't test you because we wanted to spare you from what Brandon has had to face. "

"Sooo, all this was necessary?" I asked.

"Absolutely."

"Can I show her what I can do?" Brandon walked up.

"Are you sure?" My mother fretted.

"Yes." He winced then summoned a horn from out of thin air. It looked like my unicorn horn but was curled, or twisted at the end. It was like someone bent a unicorn horn.

"Ready?" He closed his eyes than began to transform.

A blinding white light flashed and I closed my eyes. Where my brother once was now stood a medium sized dragon. It shook its head back and forth then roared loudly.

"He's fighting me again, take cover!" Brandon, now a dragon shouted.

"Come on!" Naren pulled me behind a large rock.

Everything after that happened in slow motion. I watched as my dad walked over to the dragon in unicorn form, and I watched the dragon glared menacingly at my father.

I watched as the dragon knocked my father aside like a bug.

I charged at the dragon with my unicorn horn feeling my arms growing into hooves and hearing everyone's screams behind me.
