As we left the city, we saw that the surroundings of the road went from large buildings, to smaller buildings, to the occasional house and eventually transitioned into nothing but long and large fields of grass with smatterings of trees and other vegetation.

It was beautiful. I hadn't been this far out of Wolverhampton before. Each journey home back to Ireland always seemed to pick the less scenic route, completely robbing me of seeing what the outskirts of my current hometown had to offer. Liam was so lucky to have been born here.

I hugged the straw basket close to my chest, the smell of warm goods taking over the car with it's aroma. It even drowned out the delicious scent of Harry's cologne - which I purposely made him cake his shirt in back at his apartment, because it smelled so damn good.

"It's beautiful out here, isn't it?" Harry asked me, with his window rolled down and get his hair dancing in the cold wind.

I nodded, using this time to quickly stick my hand into the basket and rip another piece of warm bread off a roll and stick it into my mouth. "Gorgeous." I agreed with my mouth full, trying my best not to make it obvious.

But it was obvious. "Are we going to have any food left by the time we get there?" He asked me, his eyes now back on the road ahead of us, his devilishly handsome smirk equipped.

"Hard to say when we both have no idea where we're going." I stated, winning my case.

"Fair enough." He replied, his fingers tapping against the leather coating of his steering wheel.

We'd been out here for a good hour or two, just following roads that seemed to lead anywhere far from civilisation. We wanted to be alone on our second date, or at least he did. I would've went anywhere with him to be honest, just not another Chinese buffet. I was debating on hopping out the car and jogging the rest of the way just to burn off the calories I'd ingested on that date. I felt like a walking spring roll.

My stomach was started to growl now. I hadn't managed to pilfer food in a while and eventually the hunger grew slightly unbearable, which was incredibly reasonable considering all I could smell was the incredibly enticing scent of Harry's baked goods.

We first stopped off at the bakery and Harry made a quick note of everything we wanted to take (well, he suggested and I agreed to everything he said, so really he made the note alone). Then he prepared and stuck them in to cook whilst we went back to his apartment so he could get ready. That was where we collected the picnic basket, too. I wasn't sure why I was surprised he had a picnic basket when the dude pretty much had everything else.

Then we got our goods and hit the road.

And now I was starving.

"We've been driving for hours, Harry, and everywhere's starting to look the same." I moaned. "Shall we just pull over here and wander a bit?"

I hadn't even looked at where we were before I made the suggestion. We both turned our heads and saw nothing but fields and fields of corn, grass and a scattering of animals. But Harry didn't seem to mind the idea of being sat in a field of corn or animals, in fact, he pulled over right away.

"It's perfect." He said as he put the car into park, pulling over just to the side of the road.

"That's why I suggested it." I lied.

We hopped out and he took the basket off of me, grabbing my hand - which took me by surprise slightly - and lead me towards the wooden fence that separated the road and the first field.

He jumped over it first, having me hold the basket whilst he did. Harry leaped over it with one quick hoist, meanwhile I stepped on each wooden panel and clumsily fell over onto the other side.
