"Honey, wake up," my mom shook me,trying to get me to wake up. "What mom," I moan "School is being closed until tonight as they need time to set up the dance," she continued "And you couldn't of just let me sleep?" "Well I thought you might of wanted to know," "Thanks mom," I say and close my eyes to go back to sleep "How quick can u get dressed?" She asked me "Why?" I opened my eyes "Cause I need help down at the cake shop," "I can be ready in like half an hour," I look at my phone "Okay, thanks Hun," she exited my bedroom. I rolled out of bed falling onto my floor, I got up and dragged my self to the shower. After the shower I pulled out a pair of white high waisted jeans, A black laced top and a bomber jacket, I put my hair into a messy bun and tide on my Nikes. I applied a coat of mascara and concealer as I couldn't be bothered with my make up until the dance. I glance at my phone and grab it off charge and slide down the banister of the stairs. "Emily what have I told you about doing that!" She complains "Mom I'm basically still a child," I chuckle "You're 17 Emily- mae" Emily-mae is what her mom would call her when she is either angry with her or happy, it's Emily's first and middle name.
"Age is just a number," I say as I skip out of the house to the car. We arrive to a little corner shop, which was my moms business she owned. I went into the back room whilst my mom stayed in the main room to talk to customers and their requests for cakes. My phone starts to vibrate in my pocket. I look at the screen, Shawn was FaceTiming me I answered and Shawns face appears on my screen :

"Hey," he said in a croaky voice "Hey, you just woke up?" I chuckle "Yeah, I'm actually surprised to know that you're awake this early," he laughed, I rolled my eyes "why even are you up so early?" "Because my mom wanted me to help her down at her shop," I answered "Oh okay, when do you finish?" "Two 'o' clock, so I can come to yours later before the dance," I grin "Sure, Aaliyah is at school and my mom's at work for a few hours ," he smiled "Alright, I gotta go my mom needs me, I'll message u when I am on my way to your house," "Okay bye," "Bye," I end then call and help my mom out with the customers. I take some notes and details about the cakes people want and what event they are for.
***** It has now reach two 'o' clock and we head to moms car. "I've got to go back to work at half past but I'll be back before your school dance, also Shawns mom is ganna come round before the dance so she can take pictures, also I messaged Karen 10 minutes ago if they wanted to have dinner and she said okay, so Shawn is ganna get ready at our house," "Okay, uh is it okay if I go to Shawns for a bit?" I ask "Yeah that's fine, but don't do anything, your too young to have kids," she winks "OH MY GOD MOM!" I shout, embarrassed of what she said "Hey, I'm only joking," she laughed. We pulled into our drive way I message Shawn. E- coming over now S- okay, see u in a minute E-I would say it would take less then a minute to get to yours
I knock onto Shawn door and Shawn opens the door wearing sweatpants and topless. "I see you made the effort to get dressed," I chuckled kissing his soft lips "Well the dance isn't till later," he smirked I rolled my eyes and smiled. We go into his room. "This room looks familiar," I laugh "feels like Its been forever since I been here," I say with sarcasm in my voice. I turn round and before I could say anything Shawns lips crashed against mine "Oh how I've missed you being here," he said in between our kisses. He pulled me closer to him and we ended up onto his bed. Shawn parted our kiss and looked at me and tucked a piece of my hair behind my ear, leaving his hand to rest against my cheek. He starts to smile. "What?" I say confused "You're so beautiful," he says and kisses me.
After a while we order a pizza and cuddle watching Netflix.
"Shawn get your arse down here!" I hear Karen shout. "Oh god," he says, we both go down stairs "Oh,Emily I never knew you was here,sorry for my language," she apologises "It's fine, I've heard worse," I smile "Shawn tidy up this mess!" She looks at Shawn "by the way Emily's mom has asked us to go there just before the dance to have dinner, also as you won't have time you will have to get changed at Emily's house," "Alright," Shawn says. Me and Shawn washed and dried the plates and cups. Shawn got changed into black jeans and a t-shirt. The Mendes family and I all walked over to my house. I walk in to see mom was laying out the table. "Oh,hello!" She says shocked to see us "Are we early?" Karen asks "No, I'm late," she nervously chuckles "dinner is almost ready, you guys like pasta and meatballs?" "My favourite!" Aaliyah squeals, my mom gives her a warming smile and we all sit at the table and start eating dinner.
We'd all finish eating dinner and me and Shawn went to go get changed for the dance. It took me so long to do my hair and make up I almost fell asleep. Me and Shawn exit from different rooms at the same time. "Woah!" Shawn stopped and gazed at me, I started to blush "Don't look to bad your self," I wink. I link arms with Him and we enter the front room so our moms could see us. "Awe don't you guys look adorable!" They both said in synchronise, we all laugh "We have to take photos!" Karen exclaimed "Emily go get your Polaroid," my mom asked me I go into the kitchen and get it from the cupboard. Shawn wrapped his arm round me and they both took a photo of us. It was now time to leave. I get a message from Jas J- I'm buzzing for tonight E-same,can't wait to see ya J-you too
I put my phone into my clutch bag and walk out to the car, Shawn opened the door and gestured me to enter the car, and then he jumped in after me.
We arrived at the school dance, we walked along the red carpet that had been set out and reached the entrance. Before we enter we had to have a photo taken. We enter the hall and get greeted by an excited Jasmine. "EMMMSSS!" Jas shouts over the loud music. "Hey," I hug her. We go and get some drinks, surprisingly they actually allowed us to have alcohol in this school, well it's what the school applied and it wasn't very strong alcohol, no one could get drunk of it unless you consumed the whole drinks table. After a while everyone had turned up, everyone was dancing and having the best time of their life. A slow song had came on and everyone grabbed their partner/boyfriend/girlfriend and started slow dancing
"I couldn't think of a better person to be holding in my arms right now," Shawn says "Me too," I rest my head into his shoulder and sway along with the tune.
After a while and having a few more drinks, they started tasting stronger than the last drinks, to be honest I think everyone is kinda tipsy, I look up over to the stage, a guy trembled up to the mic and tapped the mic, geez he looks wasted I think to my self "Everyone! The party doesn't stop here! The after party is at my house! Come on everyone let's go!" The whole hall started to cheer and follow him out of the hall, and so did we.
This chapter is longer then I intended it to be, but hope you liked this chapter next chapter should be up soon, and yes I stayed up till 1:50am to finish this chapter and I am so tired but it was for you guys, so you could get another chapter.
