If you guys think you're being played, if you think one of your 'friends' is toxic or is manipulating you. Get the fuck out. Now. Abort mission!!!! Not everyone deserves you. Even if all you wanted to do was help, they don't deserve it if all they do is throw your help straight back at you. You deserve better.
How do you recognise a toxic relationship you ask? Well....
1. Everything's your fault even if that's not possible and everything you do to help gets thrown back at you
2. You feel happier away from them than with them and when you talk to them, you feel like you've go to tip toe around their feelings
3. You're other friends don't like them. Trust me on this one, my best friend knew before I did.
They're the main signs I saw, there may be more but there are the main ones.
