"I'm very sorry for your loss." I say, bowing to my uncle.

My uncle smiles grimly. "It's alright, it's life anyway." He assures me. "And really, I'm sure that I'm not the most upset over this. She was supposed to be a mother like figure to you."

I shake my head. "I'm okay, I'm only worried about you."

"Thank you." My uncle smiles sincerely. "Well, I'll leave you alone with her now." He then proceeds to hobble out of the mourning room, leaving me alone with my dead aunt.

...

After preforming the usual ritual for the deceased, I take a peek at my aunt. Her short black hair is curled in at her shoulders, and she's been fitted in a nice black dress. Her eyes are closed, and a look of serenity is etched on her face.

Though my aunt was not very kind to me, I'm still extremely upset over her death. I sniff as I feel my eyes prick with unexpected tears. "Aunt, you weren't supposed to die." I murmur, my eyes blurring. "You were supposed to love me." What would she say if she saw me now? I wipe my tears away, unwilling to let any more flow out.

"This is why she hated you, Sonagi." I spit at myself harshly. "You're weak."

...

I wake to the feeling of warmth. Groggily rubbing my eyes, I yawn loudly. I'm still in the funeral room, and by now it's probably night time, as I had most likely fallen asleep earlier.

"Oh, you're awake." Says a voice.

On my right, Minseok sits next to me, on his phone. Seeing my confused and groggy expression, he slips his phone back into his pants pocket.

"Min- Minseok?" I stutter, being half awake.

"Yeah?"

I yawn. "What time is it?"

Minseok takes out his phone, and clicks it on. "Nine forty seven pm." He answers, the screen of his phone illuminating his face. He then puts his phone away again.

"Why're you here?" I question, my voice wavering. I gulp, to maintain control over my voice.

Minseok tilts his head. "What do you mean?" He inquires, as if it's totally normal for him to be in the mourning room of my aunt that he barely knows at nine forty seven pm.

"Shouldn't you be laughing and having fun with the others in the dining hall?" I question. "Rather than be here, that is."

Minseok shrugs dismissively. "It's too loud in the dining hall," he states. "Besides, I like being with you."

At his sentence, I feel myself blush. "Th-thanks."

Minseok smiles. Then takes out his phone again, scooting closer to me. "Look at this new game I downloaded, it's really fun." He says, suddenly switching topics. "It's called Cookie Run, and I think you would actually really like it."

I watch Minseok as he shows me the instructions of the game. The excited sparkle of enthusiasm in his eyes is contagious, and I find myself getting excited too. And I don't even like games.
