|Vanessa Smith|
"Are you sure this is legal, I mean it's not to late to go back" I said turning around in my seat, as I look at my house slowly drifting away into the distance.
Jasmine looks at me and rolls her eyes "Of course it's legal, and if anything. It's a mandatory rule for a teenager to sneak out the house at least once" She strongly said as she griped the wheel with one hand, while turning on the radio.
"What if my parents wake up, I could get in some serious trouble" I anxiously said while biting my lip.
Jasmine sighed as she took a right on Clearance street, "V, you really need to step out your little shy bubble and embrace the amazing crazy world we have" She said trying to encourage me.
Yet the only thing it did, was make me feel even more scared for what this evening had to offer. It was a late Saturday night, and we had just left for a midnight concert. Jasmine had planned for this since the beginning of this summer.
However, when I told my parents about the plan. They immediately said no, my mom was sort of leaning to the idea but somehow my dad practically convinced her to say no, which I would've understand, since he's very strict with my school studies.
Yet the thing that has me going is that it's summer. But my dad is everything to me and I couldn't even think of disobeying one of his rules.
The bright streetlights pass by us in a haze, as I felt my body move left and right at every turn Jasmine made with the car. Multiple streets and houses passed us as we started to get more into the city with fancy condos and busy street lanes.
I had no idea what I was planning to get out of this night, whether a taste of some actual fun, or even just a night of some exiting and fun dancing.
Jasmine was a very young childhood friend, along with some of my other friends who were meeting up with today.
We were friends before we were even born, with our parents being childhood friends and also living in the same area, we just seemed to click right away. Which made are parents very happy.
Jasmine, I would say was my closest friend. Seeing as how she's the more outgoing and adventurous one, everyone just seemed to love her, and then their is Me. I honestly have no idea who I am, from my never ending bad hair days, my lack of any talent, and my weird shy attitude.
I'm just there.
"Would you stop daydreaming and get out the car, we have to meet up with River, and April and Aliyah are saving us seats" Jasmine said as she snapped her long nails in my face.
I slightly jump as I clear my throat "Yes, I'm here let's go now" I said not leaving any room to talk as I open my car door and step out.
The warm summer breeze brushed against my bare arms as Jasmine too got out the car and walked around to my side. "I have a bad feeling about this" I said rubbing up and down my arm for the comfort of formality.
Jasmine huffs in defeat as she grabs my arm. "Come on, or will miss the opening act" She said.
I sighed, following behind her like a lost puppy

Everything was either dark or glowing, from the bright stage lights to the glowing drinks, this was a serious concert. Multiple people gathered around the squared stage, as my friends jumped and danced to the music.
Smiles were plastered against their faces as you could see the occasional giggles and laughter, while me on the other hand was currently sitting at the bar, as I sipped on a bottle of beer Jasmine had suggested me to drink.
I was currently on my third one, and seeing how the night was going. I'd probably need about ten more.
As the bartender wiped down the bar, I felt myself starting to feel a little hazy but still somewhat in control.
As I throw back the beer bottle and drink my last sip of my fourth drink, I suddenly realize the guy standing in the corner of the room watching me. Usually people would find this extremely creepy, but in this case it wasn't.
Even in the darkness of the room, his green emerald eyes shined brightly as they stared straight into mine, almost as if he could read my thoughts.
I was surprised and shocked, that I didn't even think he was staring at me and maybe a person behind me.
Turning my upper body half to look behind me, I check for anyone behind me. Yet shockingly their was no one, not a single person in sight. Everyone was just dancing on the dance floor having a good time.
While a guy and I have stare off competition.
He broke the stare by blinking as he slowly turned that straight face into a cocky smirking smile. His pearly white teeth showed slightly as he winked at me.
Now again, a regular person would roll their eyes, flip him the bird and walk away but this wasn't weird or disturbing at all.
His dark blue jeans fit him perfectly as his white shirt that glowed in the darkness, made his muscular body more clear. He ran his hands through his luscious lightly shaded brown hair. His eyes slightly squinted, almost as if he was trying to concentrate on something.
More specifically
Me
I smiled awkwardly as I blushed, fidgeting on seat as I try to look cool. Just as I think he's about to leave, he suddenly raises up from the wall he was leaning on and makes his way straight towards me. His eyes never leaving mines as he looked so focused and engaged. On me
Oh sweet, baby lord Jesus, what am I going to do?
| End |
Did ya like it ? I didn't really try with this chapter, I was sort of seeing how things would go and just free handed it but I think I like it so far. It's different to Lasting love and you could tell that even though Vanessa is Alexis daughter their very different.
Anyways, stay tuned for the next updated and comment any reviews or thoughts on the book, it really helps for my future books and chapters when writing.
