Prosper straighten out her pink plush dress before taking her seat. She had just finish up her presentation for her upcoming design. Partnering with Kim Paraj one of the top designers at PoshByV, she chose Prosper as her candidate. The smile on Prosper face was priceless.
"Well done Prosper." Ms.Cypruss said to her making eye contact with Prosper, her glasses sat at the bridge of her nose.
Prosper nodded her head. "Thank you." She nervously rubbed her hands. Looking to her left she made eye contact with Kim, receiving a thumbs up.
Kim mouthed to Prosper. "Great fucking job."
Prosper covered her mouth to contain her laughter. Satisfied with her work and her recognition she watched the rest of the Presentations.
Later on that day..
Prosper rushed down the street, bumping and crossing people to get to her building. Prosper lived in one the nicest condo in the middle of Manhattan. She thank god everyday for where she is today, and love the view of the busy city.
Making her way through the door she dash into the elevator before it close. Prosper let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. Rubbing her hand over her hair as she lean back on the wall. Resting her eyes the elevator door open.
Rushing to Ms.Mary door she started to knock only for the door to open.
"Hey Ms.Mary sorry I'm late I got caught up at the office." She said out of breath
"Prosper you know I usually have bible study on Thursday's but you continue to be late." She said rocking Fabian in her arms.
Truth be told after the presentations Prosper went with everyone to get food and drinks. One of Kim friends own the elegant restaurant so Prosper didn't have to worry about an ID.
"Prosper I smell that alcohol on your breath. What do you kids call it now a days?"
She said leaving Prosper at the door as she walked back in her house only for Prosper to follow.
Closing the door making her way in. "Thirsty Thursday Ms.Mary."
"Yeah that. Prosper you know I care about you, I have love for you and your son. You've been a great mom I've watched you over the years take care of your responsibilities. You know I don't mind you going out having fun, attending events and meeting new people. But I'm starting to have Fabian to much you need to spend more time with him, trust your going to miss these days." She said caressing his hair handing him a cookie.
Prosper looked at Ms. Mary with a hurt expression. "I didn't know you felt that way. I apologize for Fabian being a burden I'll just take him and go. Ya know give you space."
Prosper went to grab Fabian out her arms.
Ms.Mary allowed her to take him and watch as Prosper grabbed his stuff making her way towards the door.
"Prosper wait." She said looking at Prosper with concern look.
"Have a seat." She motion her hand.
Prosper looked back at Ms.Mary then took a seat.
"Look I didn't tell you that to hurt your feelings, if what I said made you feel like that it wasn't my intentions."
