The ride home was worse then he imagined. The tail that was growing beneath him was made even more uncomfortable with it squished between the car seat and him. The ears beneath the ballcap were so cramped under there..... And he even felt his claws elongate and grip the steering wheel.
Paul looked over to make sure Chris wasn't noticing how itchy he was being. Luckily, said man was looking out the window.
"What do you think happened back there?" Chris asked suddenly.
"T-the brick?"
"Yeah."
"I don't know. I-I think they just got the wrong people," Paul said, trying to keep his voice steady. It was actually quite hard, considering Paul could hear the scrape of his claws against the steering wheel, feeling his ears and tail in an uncomfortable position.
"You sure? You seemed a bit nervous," Chris said, turning his head away from the window.
"I'm fine!" Paul said, waving a hand, then realizing that he had claws, put them back on the steering wheel. He was thankful it was dark in the car.
"Okay," Chris said, but glanced at him through the darkness before returning to the window.
Paul turned the car into the driveway of his house, and quickly opened the car door(almost forgetting the carkeys in the progress). His plan was to get inside and to his room before Chris decided to turn on the lights.
"Where's that light coming from?" Chris asked, looking at the dashboard of the car, where a faint yellow glow covered it.
Paul took a sharp intake of breath, then looked down, trying to close his eyes while still trying to see. "I-I don't know. Let's just get inside, I'm tired."
Chris didn't argue, and the two got out of the car. They headed up to the front door, and entered the dark house. Chris was reaching for the light switch when he felt someone pass by him.
"Sjin?" Chris asked.
"Y-yeah?" Chris saw the figure who had passed by him near the staircase.
"You going to bed?"
"Yeah. Tired, you know."
"Okay, then. See you tomorrow."
"'Night." Paul rushed up the stairs, went into his room and shut the door. He turned on the lights and sighed in relief. He had to keep his eyes closed on the way to the stairs, but with his enhanced senses he managed to find the staircase without bumping into anything.
He thought over the fact on how long he'd have to keep this a secret. That down there was not a close call; he was just lucky.

The fear he saw in her eyes..... He hated it. He was foolish enough to let her see what he was hiding. Why couldn't he have just stayed at the office? It would have been much easier.
"Hannah-"
She screamed, but the sound barely left her throat when Lewis clapped a hand over her mouth. She started to hit and scratch at his hand, but any wounds closed up immediatly or just didn't leave a mark. Lewis had a hand around her waist and waited for her to calm down before he spoke again.
"Are you going to scream?" He asked calmly.
Hannah shook her head, and he carefully removed his hand. She stood in shocked silence as she looked over his features again, taking a step backwards.
"What are you?" She asked.
Lewis gulped, the words hurting more than they should. He picked up the sunglasses that were left on the floor, and put them on. "Better?" She nodded. "We should sit down. I'll explain." Hannah didn't argue, but sat down next to him on the couch.
Lewis then began explaining what Lucas had explained to him. Hannah listened intently, not quite sure if she should believe this or not. When he finished, she thought, then looked at him.
"Are you telling the truth?"
"Yes. I swear, if this was a prank, I would've given in when you screamed." Lewis reassured.
Hannah thought again. Then she looked up into where his eyes would be without the sunglasses. "I guess so." She reached a hand up and took the glasses off. The irises glowed a soft silver now, not like the brightness it was before. "It's actually...... Kind of pretty." Lewis chuckled. He held up a hand.
"Are those pretty?" He stretched his fingers and showed off the black claws.
"...I'll have to get used to those," Hannah said, grimacing slightly at the sharpness. Lewis chuckled again and put his hand down.
"You have fangs, too," Hannah said, leaning closer and looking at the other's smile.
"Yeah, that comes with the whole 'vampire' thing," Lewis said. Hannah chuckled this time and gave a quick kiss to his cheek.
"I'll get used to it," Hannah said. She yawned. "Let's get on to bed now. I'm beat from everything that had happened today."
"Okay. Let's get going," Lewis said, and helped Hannah off the couch. They walked back to their bedroom, hand in hand.

The next day everyone was on edge. The scare of the brick flying through the window made everyone careful of their surroundings. Lewis called a man to come and fix the window, but didn't say anything about the note. He had that burned, anyways.
Lewis pulled Paul aside to tell him at Hannah had found out about their 'secrets'. Paul nodded, saying that everyone's bound to find out somehow. Lewis had shook that thought away, saying that they needed to get as little people involved as they can.
They go their separate ways, but not after Hannah passing by and giving them a look that said, 'Your secret's safe with me'.
The day ended early, people not wanting to stay late again for a long while. The ones who were about to leave was Hannah, Lewis, Paul, Chris, and Kim. The current time was almost ten o'clock at night.
"We'll see you guys tomorrow," Kim said, pulling on her jacket.
"We'll do another horror game tomorrow," Hannah smiled, and Kim laughed.
"Can't wait," Kim said.
"I'll be leaving tomorrow," Chris said, pouting his lip. "I won't get to see you two scream like little babbies."
"Oh, shut it," Hannah said.
"I forgot that you leaving," Paul said.
"Yeah," Chris replied. "My flight's around noon. You gonna miss me?"
"Definately, Sipsy," Paul said in a high tone, making everyone laugh.
"Oh, get a room," Lewis joked.
They exited the doors, into the cold air that had warmed only slightly. The wind had died down, too, leaving only clumps of melted snow and mud everywhere.
"See you tomorrow!" Paul said, turning around to wave to the others, while they walked the other way.
"Bye!" Kim waved back, and so did the others.
Paul stopped in mid-wave. He heard something again. He looked to Lewis, who had stopped walking was looking at him. Then his eyes widened.
"Paul! Get down!" Lewis yelled, using the other's real name.
Before Paul could, however, something connected with the back of his head. He fell down on the cement below him, groaning when he hit. He heard the concerned voices of his friends, and other people's he did not recognize.
Paul was then turned around, and he barely had any time to register who was standing above him before a punch was sent across his face. He felt a liquid stream down from his nose.
This wasn't going to be fun.
