Kiro's POV
"Miss Kiro, please follow me to get bathed and changed before you go before the Masters of the household."
"Okay." I agreed and stepped in.
A man, obviously a butler, walked me in, and up a flight of stairs.
He walked me in a room where two women were waiting.
"Now I shall take my leave." The butler
bowed to me, leaving the room.
"Hello Miss Kiro. Please get undressed. There is a bath waiting for you in the next room." They told me.
I looked around and closed the door.
Then I got undressed.
---Time Skip---
"Do I really have to wear this?" I asked the maid that was standing next to the bed, where my outfit was laid out.
It was something I would wear, but a little too frilly.
The outfit that was laid out for me was a bright red dress that had lots of black ribbons and frills.
"It is what the lady of the household picked out for you." The maid told me with a bow.
"Oh, okay. I'll wear it then." I told her.
I slipped on the dress, and the maid laced it up from behind.
After the dress was on, I pulled on the long, bright red socks that went up to my mid-thigh, right below where the dress stopped.
It had a layer of frill on the very top, and went together nicely.
The shoes were plain black flats, that also matched the dress.
When I looked in the mirror, I realized that the dress matched my hair too. It looked like the dress was made for me.
Thinking about it, It probably was.
Go figure.
Another maid walked into the room. "This way please Miss Kiro. The Zoldyck Family will see you now." She told me.
"Okay." I walked up to her. "Lead the way."
"Yes, Miss Kiro." She bowed, and walked out of the room, with me following her.
She led me down three flights of stairs and down multiple hallways.
She led me so many different ways that if I had tried to go back by myself, I would have gotten lost.
"How big is this place?!" I exclaimed after about five minutes of following the maid.
"Fairly large." Was the only answer I got.
We finally stopped at a large door.
The maid knocked twice. "I have brought Miss Kiro." She called through the door.
"Bring her in." A deep voice spoke.
The maid opened the door and bowed, allowing me to pass.
I walked in the room and looked around.
There was a woman with a robot-like eye in an old fashioned dress, a man that looked like a very buff and roughed up Killua, an old man that looked like a marshal arts teacher, and Illumi.
"Hi." I waved to everyone in the room.
Everyone was sitting down on sofas and chairs, so I was the only one standing up.
What made it worse is that everyone was studying me, except for Illumi.
Illumi was just staring at me with a awed expression.
"Um, I like the dress that you picked out for me." I told the woman that had to be the one that picked out my dress for me.
I gave a little curtsy while looking at her.
"She doesn't look very strong." The man that had to be the father spoke.
"Looks are deceiving with Kiro." Illumi countered him, with a little smile.
"So you are Kiro?" The old man asked.
"Yes sir." I nodded.
"Illumi has told us a lot about you. Can you confirm something for me?" He asked.
"Yes sir." I nodded again.
He was up in a flash, and aimed a punch at my stomach. I was across the room and sitting in a chair when it would have landed.
Everyone looked around only to find me across the room, sitting in the chair with my legs swinging because I couldn't reach the ground.
I gave everyone a close eyed smile.
"Is that all you needed to confirm? Or do you want to test my power more?" I asked him.
"No, I see you are strong enough to be here." He told me, giving me a slight smile.
"Well, I did open all seven of the testing gates." I told them.
"What?!"
"Impossible!"
"How?!"
They all gasped and said words of alarm.
I got up and went and sat on Illumi's lap and gave him a hug.
"I missed you Illumi." I mumbled in the hug.
To my surprise and everyone else's, he hugged me back.
"I missed you too, Kiro." Illumi told me, and kissed my forehead.
I smiled, and drew back from the hug to see his mother gaping.
"What?" I asked her, still smiling.
"How old are you?!" She screeched.
I winced, hating the noise. "I'm twelve." I told her.
"She's the same age as Killua." Illumi told his mother, wrapping his arms around my waist as I leaned back into him.
"I think of Illumi as a brother."
"I think of Kiro as a sister."
We both said at once, understanding where she was coming from.
"And I am not going to marry Killua, if that's what you're thinking. He seems rude."
"Have you every actually met him?" The old man asked.
"I don't need to. I can watch from a distance. And I have. And he's mean." I told them, crossing my arms across my chest and frowning.
"Hahaha!" Illumi started laughing.
I was so startled that I fell off his lap and onto the floor.
Everyone else was as shocked as I was. There was a look of surprise on everyone's face.
"What did you do?" The buff looking Killua asked ,looking at Illumi with a look of shock on his face.
"I dunno. I have only seen him laugh once before, and I caused it that time too. And that time, I basically said the same thing I did this time." I told him, getting off the floor as Illumi started to quiet down.
"Hey Illumi, why is that funny?" I asked him, really wanting an answer.
"I don't know, it just is." Illumi told me with a smile.
"I am amazing! I have made him laugh twice without meaning to! Yay!" I yelled, putting my arms up in victory.
And just like that, the Zoldyck's accepted me.
