"It has already commenced." Satotz responded.

Kiro started to realize that she had began running.

She hated running. "Blood wings activate." She sighed.

She took to the air. Just then, someone shouted," hey that's cheating!"

She looked down. A man was looking at a boy riding a skateboard furiously. "Cheating? How?"

"By using your skateboard! Show the hunter exam some respect!"

The boy responded,"Would it be cheating if I was flying?" "Yes!" The man shouted.

Just then, the boy pointed up towards Kiro. "Hey! You're cheating!" The man shouted furiously at her.

Another little boy responded," No they aren't." "Who's side are you on Gon?!" The man exclaimed.

"The man just said to follow him. Not to run after him. Therefore, they are not breaking any rules."

He grumbled in defeat. The boy riding the skateboard looked at Gon. "How old are you?"

"I am 12!" The boy paused for a moment. "We are the same age." He said.

Then he flipped his skateboard up, grabbed it and started running."Cool!" Gon marveled.

"I'm Gon." "I'm Killua."

'That was sickening." Kiro concluded. She looked ahead and saw stairs.

'I wonder how many people will quit on the stairs.' Kiro snickered.

As everyone started assending the stairs, she noticed that the Satotz had picken up the pace a bit.

She flew down to him, taking him by surprise. "How fast are you going to go?" She questioned him.

"Aren't you getting tired? Also, why do you walk like that?"

Satotz laughed. "I will go as fast as I want to. No, I am not getting tired. I walk like this because it is easier for me."

Kiro smiled satisfied with her answers. Then she saw a light up ahead.

"Are we going to stop up there?" She asked. "Yes." He replied.

She flew up ahead until she came to the end of the tunnel, stopping right outside of it into a clearing.

There she waited for everyone to catch up. Even the examiner. After about a minute, Satoz came up.

Right as he past the end of the tunnel, the two boys from earlier, Gon and Killua, passed him.

"Goal!!!" They both shouted. Then they started arguing. "I passed first, so you buy me dinner." Beamed Gon.

"No, I passed first, so you buy me dinner." Killua shot back. "I passed first!" "No I did!" "No I did!"

"Satotz-san, who passed first?" Asked Gon. "I think you both arrived simultaneously." Satoz replied. "That's right."

Kiro said, stepping out of the shadows. "All three of you arrived at exactly the same time."

"You all arrived about 1 minute after I did." "Well you weren't traveling on foot, now were you."

Killua growled, recognizing her from earlier.

"Hey, its not my fault that you two don't know about that yet." Kiro responded, mysteriously.

Then she wandered off to where Hisoka was standing. "Hi Hisoka." She said, rubbing her temples.

"Cheery people are so loud and obnoxious." She complained. He chuckled at this.

"Oh, yes, I never did get your name my little fruit.~" She smiled at this.

'So I am not the only one who only addresses people who are worthy.' She thought.

"Kiro. Kiro Itami." He laughed. "Light Pain. That name fits you well."

He said sarcastically, eyeing her up and down.

"Yeah, well..." Kiro began, but was interrupted by Satotz.

"This is the Numere Wetlands. Also known as Swindlers Swamp.

If you ..............." Kiro tuned the rest out as she looked around at the competition.

There were a couple of people that looked strong. The rest were here because of sheer luck.

She got zapped back into reality as someone appeared around the corner of the building they came out of.

"Stop!" The man yelled, looking beat up and tired. "Don't let him fool you! He is a creature from the swamp!" Everyone stopped and looked at him.

I am the real examiner! He is a man-faced ape, a creature from the wetlands that lures people into the swamps and eats them!"

He declared as he pulled out a creature that had a face exactly like Satotz.

"He intends to lead you into the wetlands and feast on all of you!" He continued.

"That's right, he doesn't walk like a normal person!" Said a random examinee.

"Also, he doesn't have a mouth!" "Yeah!" "That's right!"

'These people are pathetic.' Kiro thought. 'They're all wrong.'

"Can you prove it?" Kiro asked. Everyone was silent. "What?" He asked.

Can you prove it?" She repeated. He stuttered. "U-umm. Of c-course I c-can!"

"Then would you mind showing us some proof?" She asked innocently, strands of her blood lust leaking out.

Out of nowhere, cards zoomed toward Satotz, Kiro and the man.

Satotz and Kiro caught them with ease, and the man didn't. He got hit with the cards and died.

"I see. I see." Hisoka said as he shuffled the deck. "You're the real examiner." Everyone gasped.

Kiro just looked annoyed. 'He was just playing.' She thought, and lightened up a bit.

"Examiners are hunters that are chosen to do this without pay.

Any skilled hunter would have been able to catch that attack.

Or, "he continued, glancing over at Kiro," a skilled person in general."

"I shall take that as a complement. However.

If you attack me again, for any reason, you shall be disqualified from the exam." Replied Satotz.

"Sure, sure. "said Hisoka, shrugging it off. "Come." Satotz commanded to the group.

The group started running again. This time into the wetlands.
