"I love you so much my sweet Gemma, but if we shall keep you many dangers would come your way"
Both Viven and Derek smiled at their newest addition. It was a bittersweet moment. Derek leaned into his wife and baby girl.
Both parents in a secluded part of the woods in a house with their midwife.
"King Alpha, Queen Luna delivered a g-girl" she spoke softly
Derek turned to the midwife. Then he looked at his daughter.
"Ella, I trust you will never speak of this birth am I correct?"
"W-what?" Ella asked stunned.
"When members ask you, you will say it was a stillbirth" Derek said firmer
"Alp-"
"Are we clear?"
"Yes King Alpha "
Derek turned to his newborn and wife. He sighed sadly and scooped his baby out of his wife's arms.
"My baby girl. Oh how I wish I could keep you and protect you. It tears my heart apart knowing I can't protect you. I'm so sorry I won't be there to witness your first milestones. I hope one day you can forgive me my love" Derek whispered as silent tears fell. The baby in his arms snuggling into his warmth.
A knock on the door signaled it was time. Soft cries from both parents erupted as the healer came inside to come for the baby. It was time.
"Before we depart I will do a spell that will mask her scent" she softly spoke.
She waved her hands around the baby and chanted a spell. A blue hue came around the baby and suddenly her scent was gone.
She was still in Derek's arms when she started stirring. He handed her over to Viven for one last time.
"Momma loves you my sweet Gem. Know we always will love you no matter what" Viven spoke as she planted kisses all over Gemma. Tears falling onto the baby.
"King Alpha, Queen Luna we must depart" the healer said sadly. Derek and Viven sobbed as the healer took their daughter from them.
"I'll protect her with all my life I swear" the healer said as she walked out of the room.
Derek and Viven both watched as she walked away.
"We'll find you when the time is right I swear" Derek spoke as he comforted his weeping wife.
