I quickly locked my phone and placed it on my nightstand.

I wanted to look out the window so bad, just to see what it is or what was there. But I resigned against it.

My body desperately asked for sleep but my mind decides to spin clockwise and counter-clockwise.

At the same time.

There was just too much processing in my brain right now for me to get any actual sleep.

"Kylie." I heard a small little voice calling out to me.

I droosly open my eyes and see Mackenzie slightly shaking me to wake up.

"Yes?"

"Someones downstairs, I hear voices." She whispered; probably not trying to attrack attention from the voices downstairs.

I painfully groaned and get out of bed, my body is sore and I have a pounding headache that is threatening to shoot my brain out any second.

Glancing over at the clock I realized it was 11:43am.

Wow I slept for long.

I attentively walk downstairs with Mackenzie hot on my heels and holding on to the hem of my shirt.

There were a couple of people in suit and ties in my living room; some conversating with my mom and Blake and the rest were conversting amongst themselves. And a lot of officers were roaming around my house.

"Don't worry they're just officers." I assure Mackenzie, I picked her up and rested her weight on my left hip.

An officer came up to me and greeted himself:

"Hi, glad you're awake. I'm officer Turner and this is detective Sam, can we take a look in your room?" Something in his voice said I shouldn't trust him, maybe it was how emphatic he was. I'm not sure what it was but there's that gut feeling saying 'he's not trustworthy'.

"Uh I guess." I bluntly replied and shrugging my shoulders.

I moved out of the way to let him up the stairs. I take a look around and I've never seen so many officers in my life; about ten were huddled up around the exact spot were my dad layed - unconsious last night.

The blood has dried a bit up and it started to produce some kind of odor that I don't want to be around.

I took a look over and wonder how I didn't throw up last night because blood seem to have that effect on me.

"Hey sleep well?" My mother cheefully greeted me by the kitchen entrance with two other officers beside her.

I set Mackenzie down and rolled my eyes at her in annoyance. My mom is just one of those people who like to ask obvious questions in awful situations.

"No need to be rude, just trying to cheer you up." She replied referring to my eye roll.

I don't reply to her, I sat down at the table and stare at the patterns displayed on the cloth.

"Hello, I'm officer Hartman would you mind telling me exactly what happened last night?" One of the officers questioned and held out his hand for me to shake it.
