After Sans had calmed down, because of me trying to burn my finger, we continued through hotland. Right now we were in some pressure, since something had been killing the monsters, and Alphys said that we have to bring Mettaton in less than five hours, due to an upcoming heat wave. Welp, I'm new to the underground, so I asked what was that... and after some explaining, I understood that it was quite deadly if you weren't made of fire, or were SUPER resistant to heat. So, yup... we were really under pressure.

Sans and me walked side by side through hotland, small drops of sweat runned down my neck and forehead. I wiped them with the flat of my hand, and I was grateful that Alphys had lend me a t-shirt. I tried to talk to the new child, but it seems like they're still unconscious, or something. –Hello? - I called once again. –no response- I sighed frustrated and looked ahead. Sans stopped me by rising his hand, and I looked around... for me this looked like a normal rocky alley. –(A) Um... I don't think this is dangerous... (L) Yeah! This is just a hot rocky alley in the middle of Hotland!-

Sans chuckled with no emotion, "don't think like that... this is quite a pretty dangerous place. See those rocks?" he pointed to a grey one, covered in some kind of black goo. I nodded. "well... those are kind of amalgamates, but... these ones are corrupted, so they'll try to kill us by setting themselves on fire" –(L) What? And why do they do that? (A) Sans said that they're corrupted... so maybe something made them attack everyone that pass through here... I suppose-

Sans nodded. "yup, they're practically like that"

"What? Don't they burn themselves?" I asked confused.

Sans shook his head "nope, they're fire amalgamates" I nodded and made an "oh" sound. Sans was going to take the first step, but I pulled him back. "what is it, (y/n)?" he asked looking down to me.

"Um... I just want to try again" I said while playing with my fingers and avoiding his gaze.

"okay, go ahead" he said and turned to the alley, looking for all the amalgamates. –Hello...- no response again, I sighed again. –Hello? Is someone in here? - I couldn't help but screech happily. –Hello! I'm (Y/N)! what's yours? - I asked them as kindly as I could. Sans chuckled at the way I was jumping excited, like a fan girl. –My name's James, nice to meet you, young lady- I stopped jumping and widened my eyes, I felt blush cover my face and heard a laugh beside me. I glared at Sans, but it was a flustered one, so he didn't take me seriously. –Nice to meet you James! Oh! And these are Anne, and Leonard. (A) Hello!!! (L) Hi! (J) Hi guys! Aren't you going to ask how did you ended up here? I'm just asking (J) No worries! I'm fine with that, I like new experiences, you don't have to explain anything. I already know that I'm dead, if that was what you were going to explain and all. Oh... okay. Welcome aboard then! (J) Thank you, sweetheart! - then again I blushed and covered my face with my hands, Sans chuckled again and held my hands away from my face. "he sure has the bravery to flirt with you, even though he has no body!" Sans said between laughs. But this laughter of his sounded so forced. Tears came from his eyes sockets, now I'm worried, is he actually laughing hard? Or is he crying and covering it with laughter?

He came to a stop and wiped away the glowing neon blue tears from his face, and reached a hand out to me. "we have to keep going, and find that annoying toaster" he said. I don't know why, but I giggled. Then we stepped sneakily through the alley, for some reason I felt a huge amount of fear inside me, pretty odd for me.

We reached half way and suddenly a familiar yellow monster appeared running without a care in the world towards our direction. "Yo! Sans! (Y/N)! what a coincidence I found you two here!" MK said, as he approached, he landed face first again, making a loud thud. The rocks lit up and started approaching MK.

"Hey!" I yelled and threw a pebble to one of them. "Over here!" I yelled again. They wiped their heads towards our direction, but one of them grabbed MK by the head. –What do I do guys?!- I yelled in my head. I got a lot of "I dunno's" so I growled frustrated.

The world turned black and white, our souls came up, the fire amalgamates' souls were glitched and twitching between black and white. One threw a rock surrounded in fire, it crashed beside me and small fire balls came from it and flew towards us. I dodged, so did Sans. Sans threw a wall of bones, the amalgamates didn't even try to dodge. They all got hit, but they didn't get affected.

More rocks came, and all crashed, small fire balls dancing and lunging towards us. I tried to dodge, but slipped in the process. One of the fire balls hit me directly on my soul. I yelped in pain and looked over to my soul. HP12/20. A painful hit. "Sans! Please give me at least a bone to defend myself!" I exclaimed.

Sans summoned a blaster and gave it to me "there, better than a bone, huh?" he said smirking and firing with his blasters. I followed his lead and hit one of them on the face. It collapsed and started glitching worse. Then in a blink I was melting and back again in his random number of legs.

A glitched voice said. We ignored it and continued fighting the amalgamates.

"Help me! Dudes!" Mk yelled and wiggled to freed himself. Just when he finished his phrase, the amalgamate threw him to the edge of the alley, just were a cliff filled with lava underneath. He tried to not fall by using his head for support. "Seriously! Help me!" he yelled again.

The world seemed to go slower but faster at the same time. –(J) Jump! Don't let him fall! - James yelled. I didn't think about it twice or even once. I runned as fast as I could, dodging all the amalgamate's attack, and lunged for him with my arms open. He slipped and I grabbed him by the sweater, he was so heavy I slipped too with him. I grabbed the edge and used my strength to pull MK up. He tried as well, but I know that Sans could help us right now. He was busy getting rid of the amalgamates. My shirt got stuck in one sharp rock. MK grabbed the edge with his teeth and used his feet to go up again. He accidentally stomped over my hand making me loose balance. My hand slipped and I was just hanging by my shirt. I looked up to MK he looked everywhere for something to pull me back up. But it seems like there wasn't nothing. I heard a crack, I turned towards the source of the sound, my blaster has been broken, along with some bones. I tried to grab the edge again, but I was too far away from there. My fingertips brushed the edge, just when a ripping sound came. I widened my eyes in fear and looked at my shirt. It was ripping slowly. I tried harder to grab the edge. Then a rock came flying and crashed besides the edge, making the rock collapse along with me.

Everything moved slowly as I saw the lava grew near, hot and deadly. But yet... inviting. Then again... I didn't feel fear, just utter happiness. (S/N), that's enough reason to welcome death, for me at least. I know Monster Kid would understand... Alphys would understand... Hope Temmie would understand... Papyrus would understand... Toriel would understand ... Annie, Leo, James, Grillby and the rest of Snowdin's monsters... And.... Sans would understand.

I closed my eyes and waited for the burning sensation to come...
