A Tree, For Us (Sans X Reader)

Your P. O. V.

I whipped my head towards the source of the sound, one of the guards knocked the rest and was pointing at the goat man with a spear. - Undyne? - "Hey!" Some muffled voices yelled, behind her were all my friends banging on the force field. - (S) Who are they? My friends! - I happily thought, I know they are gonna set me free and explain everything to this man.

The feeling that someone care about me, and they will help me get out... filled my chest with a warm feeling. I couldn't help but crack a small smile, Undyne kept her guard, and the goat man just looked at her with a painfully calm expression. "Let the human go" Undyne growled.

"I'm sorry, but that's not going to happen" he said, and moved his trident to the side. Undyne growled again and swung her spear, the man blocked it with his trident sending sparks flying. I shielded my face by looking away from them, seeing they would keep fighting, I crawled away from them. Once I was on a safe distance I stood up and ran towards the forcefield where my friends were on the other side. 

"THE HUMAN IS FINE!" Papyrus exclaimed. - I thought they wouldn't bring him (A) Why?  Because he might not know what's happening - 

"I'm" I replied and smiled at them. 

"alphys, you know how to break this?" Sans asked her, Alphys thought for a moment, but she shook her head after a while. 

"A hard impact may help, this is not a strong spell" I turned to the voice, and saw a tall man, he reminded me a bit of the Font brothers, and there was something familiar about him too, but I couldn't grasp the memory.

"ok, everyone, step back." Sans said, all of them complied, and I stepped to the side. Sans' eye flamed, but he stepped back with the rest. "on the count of three, we'll fire at the force field. one, two, three!" Sans used his blasters, Papy his bones, Mettaton... her legs, and the man, blasters pretty similar to Sans'.

The force field bursted into tiny pieces, and slowly turned into mist. "HUMAN! ARE YOU ALRIGHT?"

"Yes, papy" I answered and went over to him. Alphys grabbed my hands and tried to open the cuffs with a weird shaped key. They clicked and soon they fell to the ground. "Thank you Alphys." I said and she nodded. I also thanked the rest of them as a spear flew by.

"UNDYNE!" Papyrus exclaimed. We all turned to see Undyne hovering over the man, who was lying on the ground.

"Take the human away punks, now!" Undyne yelled.

"No! Undyne I need to get to that tree!" I exclaimed. "I just need to grab something"

She huffed and went over to the tree, she snatched a random branch and tossed it to me. "Whatever that is, you have apart of the tree now, and that's enough"

"actually, what she means is that she knows how to break the barrier" Sans appeared from besides me and neared to the man and Undyne.

"Human souls, we all know that already, go before more guards come and take all of us into the dungeon" Undyne growled.

"No, there's actually another way, I need to look for something in that tree, and look put for another tree somewhere" I said.

"nope, actually you juts need this one" Sans said, while handing me something. I opened my hand and found a purple leaf on my hand.

"Wow, where did you found this?" I asked curiousity lacing on my voice.

"at... uh. .. somewhere" he said as his skull got blue, and he rubbed the back of it too.

"Okay, I... I think I'll need your help yo find a heart-shaped leaf on this yellow tree" I said.

"No way in hotland, you got to find a hiding place, punk" Undyne said as she harshly grabbed my arm.

"No, I'll do this for all of you!" I exclaimed and the man got up, Undyne readied her spear and pushed all of us back.

"Can I know why this, child?" he asked to Undyne.

"Uh, mister" I said slyly.

"Yes?" he answered.

"I've got a deal for you" I said.

"Let's hear it" he ushered.

"are you sure about this?" Sans whispered on my ear. I nodded, he sighed and stepped back.

"I know how to open the barrier without the need to kill me or any other human"I started, he looked interested as the other man I still don't know about." Let me try it out, but... if it doesn't work... I'm willing to give up my soul for your freedom" I finished. Undyne quickly refused along with Mettaton, Sans and Alphys. Papyrus didn't have a clue of what did I say.

"As you wish, you may proceed then" the man said. "And, I'll prefer to be called Asgore if you don't mind" he said while extending a paw to me. He really looks like Toriel.

"Nice to meet you, Asgore" I greeted.

"I wish this situation was different, now please proceed" Asgore said using a paw to guide me to the tree... even tho it was in front of us.

I took a deep breath and started looking for the leaf along with Sans. Who insisted on helping me out.
