It's been a week since she spoke to Lauren.

Camila sat on the large bed in a guest room, holding her guitar.

Camila looked down at her songbook, reading through the lyrics of the new song she had just finished writing. She had some help from Taylor, but most of it was all her.

Camila took a deep breath, deciding to play it.

"Say you're sorry, That face of an angel
Comes out just when you need it to
As I pace back and forth all this time,
'Cause I honestly believed in you
Holding on, the days drag on
Stupid girl, I should have known,
I should have known..."

Memories of the last few months passed through her mind as she sang, and she could felt tears forming at the corners of her eyes.

"That I'm not a princess,
This ain't a fairytale,
I'm not the one you'll sweep off her feet,
Lead her up the stairwell,
This ain't Hollywood,
This is a small town,
I was a dreamer before you
Went and let me down
Now it's too late for you and your
White horse to come around."

Lauren was walking down the hall, looking for Camila, when she heard her soft singing. She felt a wave of guilt wash over her as she neared the door. She didn't open it though, she just stood silently outside, listening to the lyrics carefully.

"Maybe I was naive, got lost in your eyes,
And never really had a chance
My mistake, I didn't know to be in love,
You had to fight to have the upper hand
I had so many dreams about you and me,
Happy endings, now I know..."

Tears were now streaming down Camila's face and Lauren pushed the door open slowly and quietly, so Camila wouldn't notice her. Her heart ached at the sight of the smaller girl; she looked so broken.

"I'm not a princess,
This ain't a fairytale
I'm not the one you'll sweep off her feet,
Lead her up the stairwell,
This ain't Hollywood,
This is a small town,
I was a dreamer before you
Went and me me down,
Now, it's too late for you and your
White horse to come around."

Camila finally noticed Lauren standing there, but she didn't seem to care. She continued the song.

"And there you are on your knees,
Begging for forgiveness,
Begging for me,
Just like I always wanted,
But I'm so sorry..."

Lauren felt a tear roll down her cheek and wiped it away.

"But I'm not your princess,
This ain't a fairytale,
I'm gonna find someone someday
Who might actually treat me well,
This is a big world, that was a small town,
There in my rearview mirror,
Disappearing now,
Now it's too late for you and
Your white horse,
Now it's too late for you and
Your white horse
To catch me now."

Camila took a deep breath, set her guitar down, and wiped her tears away.

"Camila... I-"

Camila cut her off. "I know, Lauren. You're sorry. But words aren't enough. I'm sorry, Lauren, but we can't be together. I thought you were the one, but I guess not," she said, getting up.

"But-"

"Don't. Just... don't."

Camila then walked right past Lauren and out of the room.
-
"Your highness? You seem down. What seems to be the trouble?" Bartholomew asked.

"I lost Camila..." Lauren whispered.

"Shall I find her?"

Lauren shook her head. "Not that kind of lost. I broke her heart. She loved me, and I hurt her," she said.

Bartholomew nodded. "I see. Shall I call King Bieber and Princess Hansen?"

Lauren nodded. "Yes, please... they'll get me in the right. I need to fix this."

Bartholomew left the room, and Lauren sat in her study, staring at the papers on her desk. She noticed one specific document underneath it all, sticking out.

It was the letter Camila had written her the night they got married. Lauren took a deep breath and began reading it.

Dear Lauren,

I have fallen so deeply in love with you in the past week. You're smart, sweet, kind, funny, and so much more. I'm in love with your eyes. I'm in love with your smile. I'm in love with your laugh. I'm in love with your voice. I'm in love with your humor. And your intelligence. And how you care so much. I'm in love with your personality and the things you do and the stuff you say. I'm in love with you. And I don't know what to do. I'm just so in love with you and it scares me because you can break me at any second and you don't even know it. My point is, I am happy to be with you. Every time you read this, remember how much I love you. I'll never do anything to hurt you. And I hope and pray you feel the same. I love you, Lauren Michelle Jauregui.

Love, Camila

"I've screwed up majorly..." Lauren whispered to herself.
