Where Is the Love

It does not matter how small a gift

what matters, is the thought that counts.

It could be given in love by a child to his mother

or maybe someone want to surprise you

to brighten up your day

There might be a man out there

who just lost his job.

He has no place to lay his head,

neither does he know, when next he'll be fed,

but he is just living his life day by day.

We are living in a changing society

where there is little love amongst us,

We no longer share with each other.

We like to settle an argument with a fight,

Never stopping to think how best it could be done.

Technology is slowly taking over,

and it has an effect on the little ones' minds.

They cannot think for themselves;

they do not want to go the extra mile,

they prefer to take the shorter route.

Where is that old tradition

When Granny was well respected in the village,

neighbours were sharing with each other

Children were playing games under the moonlight.

Those were the good old days!
